Taking into consideration that this is a garden centre, I expected it to be pretty smartly turned out, regardless of the time of year. Moss and green algae abound along with blocked gullys, piles of fallen leaves and overflowing guttering. There's stock on pallets dotted about the carpark that has clearly been there for some time. Inside is pretty basic and it would benefit from a clean of the roof panels, again stained with green moss like growth. It feels dull and isn't as well stocked as other garden centres. I've read some reviews on here, the negative ones generate a reply on the lines of, we'll mention it to the manager

I am sitting in carpark 09.47with my dog. Pet shop there is great, friendly and very helpful. Shop is great too especially today 20% off. However I have sat at a table in pets allowed for 20 mins with no-one coming to take my order (staff not busy,) one time I went to counter and was told I cannot do this but to wait for someone to wait on me. Another time I sat, with dog, in correct area, lady was cleaning my table but went away and didn't come back until I stood and waved! Today no one could be bothered so have come away. I have a Dobbies card and have just been posted a Birthday treat. This really not good enough.

Looking very tired now, i thought when Dobbie bought it, they would transform into something like the ones i have visited up in Scotland . We went for the cream teas offer, 2 for 1, starting at 2pm, we went in at 10 past to be told they had no scones and loyalty card problems as well. So just a quick brew, it was!

We visit Debbie's regularly. There is a good selection of plants at reasonable prices. There's also a couple of clearance tables where I've picked up some great plants. The cafe can be a bit hit and miss. Sometimes it's great. Other times not so much. Fir the little ones theres a small soft play area. A mini train can also take them to a playground. At Christmas the train becomes a trip to see santander.

I brought a person I support to dobbies for lunch. He has a learning disability and is partially sighted. The only available appropriate seats and tables were in the dog" area we were asked to move by the waitress for people waiting with dogs and looking at us like we were some kind of criminals I refused to move having to explain the person I was supporting needs. Jacket potato came out dryer than the Sahara

Cafe very poor. Food we had was awfull and very very over priced. Only really toasted sandwiches and baked potatoes. Toasted sandwich not toasted on both sides and was so bad my daughter had to find some sweets to take the taste away. Area for dogs being used by non dog owners so have to wait a long time to get a seat. Advertising 20 % off for clubcard members in the shop but then this turned out to be for clubcard plus members. Place generally very run down. Will not be returning

Not been for awhile. We put our children's hats on and went on the Dragon Railways. It was great fun and the lads volunteering were great. They have a great assortment of toys in the ticket office for sale but all goods welcome as well.I thought the goods on offer were a little sparse but the plants were well attended and well in bloom. Cafe was great.

Used to shop here regularly but doesn't seem to be as good as it used to be. Christmas displays were shockingly poor in fact blink and you'd miss it. Gift section too seems very poor although the place itself was very busy. The Plant section however was Very Good.

The place itself is alright, the railway looked great fun although we couldn't get on it as had no cash with us. The food was hugely disappointing. Absolutely nothing good about, watery cappuccino and soggy toastie. The nail on the coffin was the chips for £2.70 if I remember correctly. Very average, but, look at the size of the portion!

It's a fairly big garden centre, comprising all the usual indoor/outdoor sales facilities. It's 'jewel in the crown' is an extensive miniature railway - one of the best I've experienced. However, the very muddy and puddle-ridden pedestrian pathways, vehicle tracks and car parking are awful, and the buildings seem well past their best. It is in need of investment. It's nearest competitor is Poynton Garden Centre, which improves on all these points.
