The Check House Nursing Home

I speak on behalf of my whole family and cannot find the correct words to show our utter gratitude to the Whole team in Checkhouse care home .For 5 years this home has been my sisters home . The care giving you could see with how my sister coped with it . She was always happy , clean and well looked after as knowing my sister you saw it in how contented she was with them all.Sadly my sister died recently and the high standard of care yet again and respect was to overwhelming. We’d randomly visit and always found with someone sat with her . They respected her beliefs and gentle music soft light made her room a quiet peaceful place .Again I can’t thank them all enough . I’ll Always remember my sister like this in her last few days I trusted them to look after her and they never let me down .BevGiles THANK YOU ALL

When one is unable to independently maintain their own care, a nursing or care home can be an alternative method of support. The Check House is a care and nursing home who specialise in dementia.The manager, her staff & the culture of the home is open, friendly, warm, welcoming, organised and safe.All staff are kind and compassionate towards everyone and have warm and caring relationships with them. The care provided is personalised by staff who know the patients well, their life, what matters to them and care for them as individuals.Meals are of superb quality and superior to those one would find in many expensive restaurants & hotels.The Check House has a variety of social activities and encourage personal interests.Even though many are cognitively impaired, they are supported to express their views and make their own decisions about all aspects of their life and what is important to them.As a relative who lives quite a distance away, all these factors and more besides I know my father is safe well cared for and content within this living environment.
