Steven and his team provided a genuinely first class service. Completing a total re-render of our house and new extension. They took real care in repairing areas damaged over the years and achieved a fantastic finish in terms of colour and quality. When it comes to all things about lime render, Steve is the most passionate individual you will meet and his passion comes through in the quality of his work. Absolutely fantastic service. Really skilful, committed to high conservation standards but able to work that with our fairly small budget to do the right thing for our old cottage without breaking the bank or compromising on quality. Steve was amazing at helping us work out the best thing for our property and we are delighted with the look and feel of our beautifully limed walls.

Steve has been instrumental in bringing about the renovation of my stone cottage. He has lime rendered the outside and lime plastered inside, but that simple description of the work doesn't begin to describe the amount of thought and effort that Steve and co have put into the job.He absolutely understands the art of making the best lime 'recipe' for the particular job (no two jobs are the same) based on the condition of the substrate, the desired outcome etc etc.Steve and co put a huge amount of work into the preparation of the walls before applying he actual render and plaster. This involved taking off the cement render until there was was no trace of it, to ensure that the finished render would breathe as best as possible.Likewise, internally, Steve has rebuilt sections of the wall, removing rotted sections of oak and inserting lintels above a window, in order to get the best result once the plaster had been applied.Steve's communication is excellent and he genuinely wants to do what's best for the job rather than what's best for him.Steve is extremely capable and his skills stretch far beyond plastering. He is passionate about his work and produces excellent results.I have asked Steve to return to my property to carry out some further work which again has been of a very high standard. If you want a first class result and want somebody who will make sure your walls are properly prepared before the render / plaster then Steve is your man. He has worked tirelessly and often out of hours to ensure the right result. He is also very friendly and chatty and a pleasure to have on site. The work has been a mixture of day rate and fixed price works, both of which have worked well. Thanks Steve!

Stephen recently re-rendered the majority of the exterior of our house in white lime-washed lime render. He and his team did an outstanding job. With the old render removed, we discovered some problems with the underlying fabric of the house. Stephen used his professional contacts and expert knowledge to repair and remediate with skill and care, leaving us certain the house is now solid and “as it should be”. The overall work was completed to a very high standard and within expected timelines. He is professional, courteous, and an evident expert in his trade. His communication was excellent throughout and he did his absolute best to ensure unexpected additional work was carried out only where necessary and within our budget. An all-round professional as well as a nice guy (as we’re all of his team, including Mike). I’d recommend Stephen without hesitation as one of the best trades people we’ve ever encountered, and would gladly invite him back the next time we need his help.

Superb work, we're really happy with the results. Steve works to a very high standard, does what he says he will do and communicates well. We felt the project was always being well managed, even when unexpected things emerged and meant plans had to change. Full marks!

I could not recommend Steve highly enough, he knows his specialist trade inside and out and is passionate about his work and finding the best solution for the project.SLP has been our best find since we moved into our new home, helping us sort out some rather tricky construction issues, being super flexible with timings and also being a generally great guy. Having had issues with damp and crumbling plaster for many years, Steve used his technical knowledge and experience to come up with a practical solution. Steve did a great job of putting an original lime plaster back onto room in my cottage. He offered sound advise from the outset even before I removed the old plaster and then set to work on the different wall types in the room when the plaster was removed and did a great job on a brick fireplace that became exposed.The work was done to a high standard, with Steve popping back at unsocial hours to check on the plaster and damp down when needed.He has a great passion for his work and this is apparent once you start talking with him.He can offer a lot of guidance on finishing touches to things like exposed beams, wooden mantles or sills and also the best paints to use for lime.He can be trusted to go a great job and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone and he'll be back for me when I'm ready start on my next room
