A library is a place to read, study or do business in quiet! WHAT happened to the days of mandatory silence? There's a nursery built inside! And all kinds of loud, obnoxious characters are allowed to disrupt and intimidate other users and nothing is done about it. This is one of the most frustrating, stress-inducing places about and ISN'T at all appropriate for people with autism.

Frustrating if you want to go to read. People treat it like a cafe, talking all the time. This is done by both staff and the public.Shame because the building is very beautiful. I found it easier though to read on a bench outside.

The building its self is lovely historic library which is a good size and free to use for the public. I took 3 stars away because of their need to posh far left radical opnions on you and children. They have a gender area at entrance and climate activist displays. Please please please don't be staging a protest you are a public service and should be their to provide knowledge without a bias.

Incredible building with beautiful tiles, interiors, artworks snd when I visited a great exhibition/display.A great place to take sometime snd sit to do some work or study or relax with a book.

Always happy to visit this beautiful library. Connection to Art Gallery makes it even more interesting. Great collection of books and informations about local history. Impressive design of this building always amazes! It shall be on bucket list for everyone who is visiting Leeds.

Tremendous building. Lots of events going on. Well stocked with books, audio books, and historical records (good family history, newspaper resources). Good app for online renewals and library access to Ancestry... Large and well stocked eatery...

I went on a free Heritage Open Days guided tour - although payable guided tours are also available throughout the year. It was an informative, enjoyable tour which I recommend for anyone with an interest in Leeds, libraries and their contents!
