My Friends and I came for Afternoon tea today and it was one of the best we've ever had and we've had a lot!!! All the staff were very helpful, happy and friendly. Sandwiches were yummy, scones were delicious and the cakes we did have were really good (we were really full up so didn't eat them all) we were asked multiple times if we would like refills of drinks and the price is very reasonable. We had such a lovely time we've booked festive afternoon tea for our Christmas get together!

Here for a wedding reception, and overall a good experience was had - the venue itself is very well presented in the beautiful surroundings of the golf club and its own garden areas, and at the start of the evening the level of service was very good. The only thing that really let it down and lost it a 5 star rating was the way that, the further through the evening you got, the less attentive the service became.

I paid £15 for the day pass and spent some time in the gym, had a long swim and relaxed in the steam room. All very very clean and all staff helpful and friendly!

The room was alright once we got to enter it. The pass was not working, it took us 3 different cards for someone to actually come and reset the card by using the key. Otherwise everything else was lovely :)

Rooms were not great; for a venue where they host so many weddings the rooms are dark and lack light. How does one get ready? Some of the staff I dealt with were rude and came across incompetent. The booking teams don’t seem to communicate with each other. Room bookings we took time to plan ahead of time was a waste because we had to explain everything again. The leak at the wedding in the morning turned into a downpour in the evening. We went from one bucket at the front the room collecting water to multiple buckets collecting the dripping. There were towels on the floor and this en route from the bar to the dance floor - where you have the highest footfall.I can only imagine the shock and the embarrassment the newly weds would have felt. From all the communication with the management staff it did not come across as though they actually read the points we made. The information they gave us countered the information we were given at the venue. Communication is clearly lacking here.I wouldn’t want to get married at a venue like this. It was extremely stressful from the rooms to the wedding hall. It shouldn’t be this chaotic.I would give this venue negative stars if I could.

Stayed recently for an overnight spa break. Hotel itself was lovely & room very comfortable ('broken toilet roll holder). However the spa overall was disappointing. No towelling robes given so couldn't really enjoy in the usual way. Niwhere really to sit around & relax. Had to shower & dress after swimming, before going in to treatments or lunch. Also the steam room was not working properly. However the treatments themselves were brilliant! You also need a £1 coin for the lockers & spa reception had no change !

I went here for Christmas dinner .. the meal was good .. it was the amount of tables shoved into the room . Back to back tables . So loud I couldn't here the person next to me , the dance floor was seemd 100m away , from where I was the music was distorted.. I'm sure those sitting closer found they had a wonderful time .. but myself on this occasion. Did not like the sheer amount of people packed in that room with just 2 bar staff to try and cope . I think it was unlucky I was sat right in the corner of the room

Lovely and very clean room. But bath leaked out the plug hole.. pool and steam room and jacuzzi lovely. Dinner and breakfast was good , could do with a bar area rather than just sitting in reception !! I would return ..

Unfortunately I was full of cold and therefore stayed in the room apart from meals. The food was very good, but sadly like many hotels the bed pillows were not good. I usually take my own, but had left it at home so did not sleep well as I found the bed hard too.

We spent the night at Manor of Groves and were not dissapinted. We arrived pretty late, at around 9 pm, and the hotel was alive with people having drinks and socialising. Clearly a popular venue to visit and understandably as you walk into a gorgeous bar area.We checked in smoothly. The hotel takes a £50 deposit for the room, which you do get back on, check out, or you can use it towards the bar or restaurant. We were not aware of this before arriving. The room was nice, modern, and had all the amenities we needed. We were greeted by a friend as we walked into the room and noticed there were quite a few cobwebs in the corners and bugs around the window frames, which would be avoided with a more thorough clean.Although our room was at the front of the hotel, it was very quiet, and the room was dark well into the morning with thick curtains, which meant we had a long restful nights sleep.Breakfast was included in our stay, and it was a highlight for me. As an individual who had Coeliac, it was lovely to see a separate table with a variety of options, including muesli, bread, and a separate toaster, free from milks and cereals. The lady was so helpful, ensuring I had everything I needed. One pointer I would give is that the hot food did not have any allergen labels. I had to ask which foods were gluten-free. It would be easier if everything was labelled. After breakfast, we checked out but still had full access to the leisure facilities. The sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi were lovely. Great changing rooms, which were clean and had everything we needed. The view into the woodlands whilst I was sitting in the jacuzzi was dreamy during the rainy day. Before leaving, we had a wander around the grounds, which looked stunning covered with autumn leaves and ready to host another beautiful wedding celebration.A gorgeous venue which we will definitely come back to enjoy.
