OYO London Guest House
Small but adequately sized room which was spotlessly clean. The bed was large and comfortable and the room had plenty of enclosed storage space (wardrobe, chests of drawers etc.). A small transom window could be opened which supplied some ventilation, but the main casement window was a sealed unit and could not be opened. There was no work table or chair, but I pressed one of the bedside chests of drawers into service and sat on the bed. The TV was quite small but adequate for the room size and all channels worked. there were a large number of power outlets in the room, and these were sensibly located. The room was quiet even though it overlooked the street (the street itself was pretty quiet). The room was equpped with both an electric fan for cooling and an electric convector heater for colder weather. The bathroom was good, with no major shortcomings, but nothing outstanding either. The hotel is located a few hundred yards from the Acton Mainline Station (Elizabeth line), but is a long way from any other tube station, so getting to places such as the museums at South Kensington or most London tourist spots will involve changing trains at Paddington. I had a problem on arrival as the remote control for the TV was missing (needed to switch it on), but instantly I reported it, the whole TV was replaced with one which had a remote; outstanding service! But....... The room was quite hot at night. The supplied fan helped somewhat, but it was still too warm to sleep IN the bed (I slept ON it wearing just pyjama bottoms). There was no decaffeinated coffee supplied in the room, and none was available from reception.

I enjoyed my time at the OYO London Guest House. A little part of me almost didn't want to leave on check out day.It seems I got a discounted rate because someone else had previously cancelled their stay. Either way, I had fun exploring Ealing's green spaces and gardens. The wider area the hotel is in is blessed with more than few train and tube stations. The London Guest House is very conveniently situated near Acton Main Line station (which goes straight to London Paddington in minutes), so the establishment is easy to find.Other reviews of the hotel have labelled its single rooms as too small. In my opinion, while they are certainly compact - I've stayed in smaller en-suite single rooms. But yes admittedly, I couldn't open my suitcase out in full on the floor of the room I was allocated. That said, my single en-suite room was packed with features, like a mini fridge, a safety deposit box (which was cool), a kettle with drink making facilities and complimentary shower gel.The staff in general were sweet, smiley and always ready on their feet to let me into the building at night. I had no problems with them.My room had a view of the main street, which I have a personal preference for.I like to see London's hustle and bustle without actually being in it! Street noise relaxes me and so when I left the window open, I reveled in it. But for people who don't like street noise, I could see how it could potentially be a problem in a room like the one I was in.Naturally, the hotel wasn't perfect. There were a few oddities about my stay there.I've never been to a hotel where the customer was not allowed to take their room key off the premises, which is a rule at the London Guest House. Maybe I've been living under a rock, but this was new to me. I didn't care for this rule, I must admit. Also, the shower in my room was broken. It couldn't stay at a fixed height, and so I had to shower crouched down somewhat. Overall, showering felt like hard work, I must admit. The water was either burning hot or freezing cold. When I would get it somewhere in the middle, one small flick of the shower nozzle would send the water temperature back into one of the extremes. It was like juggling circus balls. Also, upon first entering my room the TV mounted on the wall was unplugged. I soon found out that it was faulty. A friendly and very capable male member of staff helped me change the old TV with a brand new smart one in under 15 minutes literally. The new TV set was great - it had Netflix, Disney + and Amazon Prime. I could browse the internet on it when I connected it to the hotel's free Wifi.My question at the time was though, why was the old one left in the room in the first place? It was left unplugged, and so it obviously had a problem. Anyway, ultimately the issue was fixed. The hotel's housekeeping was handled by a very sweet, determined lady who didn't speak much English, which was awkward. She was good at what she did, but she could be loud. When I would casually drown out her daily housekeeping rummaging with my room's new TV, it didn't seem to go down too well. I was staying at the hotel for several days and so the atmosphere this created just compounded the awkwardness.Nevertheless, I'd recommended the place. Some of the non-discounted and usual rates for staying at the OYO London Guest House feel kinda high based on what I experienced there, but I guess most of London is like that at the moment. I'd definitely consider staying at the Guest House again.

The hotel was in a good location as it was near the Elizabeth line and major bus lines. The area had a good selection of pubs and restaurants. As for the hotel , the room was very comfortable except I could hear cars going by as my faces the street. The tv did not work as freeview was not available. The staff was very warm and friendly. If you stay at the hotel, the room key needs to be turned in if leaving the property due to loss. I would stay again.

Very good rooms with excellent service. Driving from the north of England, I unfortunately arrived much later than planned, but was greeted by the friendly staff at midnight. Convenient on-site parking is available and a definite plus for the area.

The room was normal and to top it off, i booked on call and paid 20£ extra for earlier check-in but when i check-in the hotel charge me extra 20£ & said they will sort this issue, they didn’t refund me my £20 deposit back as said they would.Disgusting service. Will not recommend for family at all.

So happy we ended up at this place after a bad experience somewhere else.I totally recommend this small hotel. The area is quiet, beautiful and nice bars and restaurants around. Our room was clean, smelling nice, with attention to detail, coffee, tea, clean towels, soap... Wasn't expecting this much for the price we paid. The staff was super lovely and helpful.Great 2 nights here

Decent, helpful, friendly, polite receptionists. Very, very clean! My partner and I were given a small, simple room, and some would say it's overpriced. Maybe a bit. I didn't expect the complimentary instant coffee and tea and cream. Toiletries include some towels, a dryer, hand wash, shampoo & shower gel, which is lovely enough for me who wanted just a room to rest. It's only a short bus ride from tube (underground) straight to central London, walking distance to overground (train). Either way, to me this part of town is more quiet than most of London and that's a plus.

Basic but comfortable clean room. good shower. Wifi worked well. A pity breakfast has not been provided since Covid. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location ideal for our purposes. Thought charging for car park on top of accommodation excessive.

The staff were friendly and even helped me with the luggage. There are no lifts and so bags will have to carried up the stairs. They also told me the way to the nearest tube station. The location is not as convenient if one had booked lodgings in Central London, but is readily accessible to public transport. The rooms were well provided but since its a hostel, rather small.
