Amazing place to see

A nice mooring beside Alwalton lock, there are also unofficial moorings on the opposite side of this bywash. Walk along the path to your left until it joins the road , turn right to walk to the village, right again by the island, past the church, you will come to the lovely thatched Post Office, shop, newsagent, and tearooms across the road from The Cuckoo pub.

Lovely quiet and slightly offline mooring, enough for a couple of 57ft boats with no public access, it is directly opposite Alwalton lock and the EA moorings, there's a lot of walkers and boats passing the lock and so it's quite nice observing the activities from a slight distance.We did get asked if we were members of FOTRN by a boat passing through the lock, our sticker is displayed in the window but yes we are and are very grateful to the club for all of the beautiful moorings they have provided.We visited the Cuckoo pub for dinner and it was quite disappointing for food and service so wouldn't recommend it for food but it was nice enough for a few drinks.
