Longwool Shepherd Huts and Glamping

I booked the Longwool Kingfisher shepherds hut a completely new experience to ourselves, and so pleased I did. We were greeted by Sarah Benton on our arrival who took us to the shepherds hut, we’ll it was beautiful on opening the door everything you need for a in our case three days, we absolutely loved the peace quiet and tranquility, it is out of this world just birds and bird song from dawn to dusk with views across open fields and ancient woodland.The hut itself is cosy and spotlessly clean, with two tables and chairs outside and a large BBQ at the rear i nice private area. There are shops and a supermarket at Horncastle also at Woodhall Spa both approximately four miles distant. We spent our time enjoying the peace so much so I spoke to David Benton and enquired if we could book a fourth night which he agreed to.David and Sarah I outstanding hosts and one or the other or both ready to help and answer your questions. There is also an excellent double shower cubicle with ample hot water a wash basin and toilet in a very large washroom again spotless.We will be returning to Darwood House farm and very much looking forward to the return. Stayed here for 3 nights recently . Loved our stay - remote location , with nice walks nearby , and easy drives to Lincoln etc. Hosts were fantastic. We witnessed the purchase of a new hot tub when we were there.. deffo be back to check that out ! nice one Sarah an Big Dave x

Just got back today from a two night stay at this lovely site great views, hot clean shower and toiletPeaceful quiet with plenty of nature to watch barn owls, little owls, tawny owls, woodpeckers, hares and curluws just to name a few!Great walks from the siteWoodhall spa has everything you need including the best bakery/cake lots of cakes shop you'll ever find.Even saw the Lancaster flying this morningLovely hosts everything you need thank you Sarah and DavidWill deffinatly return

Was in two minds whether to review as I don't want other people to find this perfect getaway!Sarah and David are fab hosts. They were great from the moment of booking to the moment we left.The site was perfect for us. Great views and was so peaceful. It was only a short walk into Woodhall (2ish miles) or 2 miles to a trail that goes all the way into Horncastle (was a great little walk!)Will definitely be going back soon!

Longwool Shepard's Hut was a great getaway. The hut has been sympathetically restored, is warm and cosy and all amenities available (fridge, sink, electricity and running water). David and Sarah were extremely hospitable and welcoming. Definitely recommend Longwool for anyone wanting a peaceful getaway from their busy everyday life.

David & Sarah where absolutely lovely, the Shepherds Hut was beautiful, you can tell no expense has been spared. Stunning walks in the area and on site, super cosy too.Definitely plan to visit again soon.Thanks for an amazing stay!

The Shepherd hut was gorgeous and very clean.The location was beautiful and peaceful. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely couple of days there.We were a little disappointed that the sauna was out of action as this was one of the reasons why we chose this place.

Stayed here with my partner about a month or so ago. Hosts were so friendly and accommodating. Hut and hot tub very well constructed, a lot of nice touches throughput. Would thoroughly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet getaway.
