Penrith Mountain Rescue Team

A Great team that works hard to bring people back from the fells that where in difficulty.

Fantastic charity saving lives on the mountains in the Lake District. Penrith covers a huge area from the Scottish Borders in the north; to Northumberland border in the east; the M6 in the west and down to Shap in the south. The team covers Crossfell in the North Pennines and regularly assists Keswick MRT on Blencathra and Patterdale MRT on Hellvelyn!

Rescued from a remote edge of Haweswater after slipping coming down Kidsty Pike, and as it turned out, badly breaking my foot. The team were incredibly competent and reassuring. I am so thankful for you guys.
