Only open for 20 + visitor groupsAmazing place, excellent guided tour by family members, so much history behind it.Have been twice now and will make it an annual visit.

Went because of the poldark connection. But this house is so much more. Guided tour from a family member, funny, informative, interesting!You can sit on all the old furniture, not at all like national trust where everything is roped off or please do not touch signs.... refreshing history

Cannot recommend this tour enough, absolutely wonderful, beautiful property and grounds and wonderful hosts! The family guides are fantastic sharing all manner of historical and humorous tales of the property, so interesting, absolutely exceeded expectations and highly recommend to others (especially Poldark fans how fab to be at Trenwith!) but would have enjoyed the tour even without the Poldark connection. Amazing hosts, do go and visit!

Awesome manor! . its like going back in time! And a chapel to look around to , with a true ghost story , amazing views of the grounds/Garden ! The house is where they filmed poldark! And a few other programs! Well worth a visit!,

Chavenage House
Chavenger House is one of many locations used for the Film and TV industry, ADF Facilities plays a massive roll supplying the industry with customised trailers for Makeup, Costume and Accommodation for the Film Crew and Actors on various locations. As a driver for ADF, unfortunately we only visit the various locations to move from one location to another for filming and this happens mostly at night time. Hence I can't give any advice about Chavenger House as such.

Visited here today with our History Group. Such a lovely afternoon with tour given by Caroline, one of the owners followed by a delicious cream tea. Such a lovely family home with lots of history attached to it & has been used for so many films & TV programmes.
