Neptune Fish & Chips
I've ordered gluten free fish and chips about 4 times via uber eats recently. They cancelled my order on 3 occasions. On the 4th occasion I pre ordered the day before, for a delivery between 1pm and 130pm. They accepted the order and took the money. It was cancelled again at 1pm saying they were unable to get to it, and are no longer taking orders. Not be ordering again.

This was a very pleasant and cozy place to eat well cooked and delicious food. The new management makes the Neptune's fish and chips a place you can eat daily. I was tried cod and chips and cheese and haddock. Excellent pukka pies. If you prefer you can eat gluten free cod roe or chips. There is a meat free menu also. George is very polite and friendly as all the other staff, too. Prices are very good. The place is one of the most cleaned ones i ever saw. Highly recommended

Went in on my walk, got their small haddock deal, they overcooked some food so I was given an additional meal for free, I'm glad they don't let food go to waste.Overall Friendly staff, better quality than many places in town centre and just about affordable.As a chippy curry sauce enthusiast it's definitely one of better ones I tried in the county so far.

We got 2 x fish, 1 chips and peas £17.90 which we thought was a bit steep, but accept things have got more expensive. The problem was the batter on both fishes was very thick and very soggy, not light and crispy as we had hoped. Ruined the meal and we were disappointed.

Average chippy. Does a good deal by todays standards of small fish and chips + sauce + drink for £6. Food nice and so were staff. Came at midday so quiet

Had this 2 days in a row now since starting to work up this area. Food tastes great, portions are massive. Also, very cheap and the staff are really friendly and always smiling. My new favourite chippy in Sheffield.

Disappointed by the fish and chips and baffled by all the other good reviews. They just weren’t nice fish and chips. I binned them and I’m now hungry. Can’t fault service or portion size.

Visited Jan 2023. Extensive Gluten free chip shop menu. The gluten free stuff is cooked to order, so about a 5 minute wait, but definitely worth it.. Piping hot fish & chips (with, in my case, curry sauce - normally an impossible find and this was every bit as good as I remember from my pre-coeliac days).Although this is a take away, there are two seats in the Window available on a first come first served basis, so we were lucky enough to be able to eat here, rather than in the car !Was only a flying visit to Sheffield but will definitely come back to Neptune next time I'm in the city.
