Matt's Maths Tutoring
As a mature student I was nervous approaching a maths tutor but Matt put me at ease and was approachable from the get go. Matt explains all topics in details and ensures I understand the questions being asked. Matt puts in a lot of hard work and effort for tutorials and always goes beyond what is expected. I would definitely recommend Matt.

Matt was absolutely brilliant with our son.I first contacted him when our son was halfway through his national 5 physics at which point, he was expected to get a no award.Within a couple of lessons, Matt had him not only understanding physics but even enjoying them. He managed to come away with a B which was incredible given where he was 6 months previous and I know that if we'd had Matt from the start of the school year, our son would have managed an A.We went on to use Matt for my sons higher Maths too.Cannot recommend Matt highly enough if you child needs that extra help.

Matt was my daughter’s tutor for her Nat 5 maths. We had him for about a year. During that time Matt was very professional, patient, great tutor and my daughter felt very comfortable with Matt’s approach to learning. If it wasn’t for him my daughter would have not passed her prelim and coursework (exams cancelled due to covid 2020).He was always punctual, reliable and encouraging.I would highly recommend Matt to anybody looking for a maths tutor & his hourly fee very reasonable.

I would absolutely recommend Matt as a maths tutor. My grandson only had 7 lessons but Matt made quite an impact on him in that short time .Connor gained in confidence over that time and was 100% more confident in sitting his Nat5 Math exam. I will definitely be re-engaging Matt again after summer for him. Thank you so much Matt, you made an amazing difference to Connor's approach and understanding of Math in a very short time.

Matt was really helpful and explained things in a way that was easy to understand. I always found it really helpful as we went through questions together and he would help when I got stuck on something, I’d really recommend Matt, he is very good at explaining maths, and never makes you feel bad for not knowing something!

Matt's Maths Tutoring
Went to Matt as I was struggling with maths in S5. I failed higher maths the first time around and had to resit it in S6. Matt has really helped me over a few months really understand how to answer questions and the techniques used in solving then. He has even shown me multiple methods that might be easier for me to remember than the ones taught in my school as I have dyslexia and struggle to remember formuals and methods for solving equations the conventional way. Matt is an excellent tutor and I would highly recommend.

Matt is an absolutely brilliant tutor who prepared my son for his Maths Higher assessment. My son did not do well in his Maths prelim. We contacted Matt and since then his tutoring gave my son confidence, made a big difference to his understanding of Maths and enabled him to obtain an A grade. Matt tutored my daughter for Higher Maths. His excellent tutoring supplemented what she was being taught at school and helped to focus on parts of the syllabus she found particularly difficult. This helped to give her more confidence as well as better understanding of the subject.Tutoring was all done online which worked well for us and there was flexibility if dates or times needed changed on our part.Highly recommended!

Can’t speak highly enough about the support Matt provided to my son in higher maths. Matt quickly identified his strengths and weaknesses, working on them systematically and repeatedly. My son and Matt were rewarded with an A grade pass which got him into his preferred university and course.
