The moment you walk in the door, you know you are in a place far removed from that of a normal visit to your local GP. Upon arrival I was offered a drink whilst waiting to be seen, and it added to the relaxed, warm nature of the practice. The staff are delightful and very accommodating, and you don’t feel rushed or as if you are just another patient. The efficient, welcoming service makes your time at the practice value for money and more than that, you come out feeling far better than you could imagine. There are a plethora of services available and can be tailored around your needs, which you cannot get elsewhere. I have been to see Dr McBurnie, who is the ultimate professional with enormous empathy and compassion, Karen who helped get my diet, eating and living habits back on track, and Diane who was most welcoming and meticulous in her work. I am in no doubt that if I were to have any health issues, my first port of call would be the Westbourne Medical Studios.

I took my son to see Dr V McBurnie today, having enjoyed extremely helpful consultations with her personally in the past. My son doesn’t like the idea of going to see the doctor generally, and wasn’t very keen but Dr McBurnie took time to put him at ease by chatting to him and really listening to his responses. She engaged him so well that I believe he’s likely to actually take the medicine with ease and I don’t think he’ll be nervous about going to the doctors again. In summary he thought I should say that she’s ‘really nice and kind’. Highly recommend

As an autistic person accessing the service I found it to be unprofessional and dismissive. I booked an appointment for a consultation and arrived in plenty of time. It went past my appointment time and nobody communicated anything to me so I asked reception a number of times what was happening. After waiting half an hour I saw the doctor was outside dealing with workmen. This upset me so I left. I did not have my consultation nor did anyone follow up with me to apologise or see if I was OK which is really bad as I was in to speak about my PTSD which was in the notes. I came because I was recommended by a close family friend who knows the doctor. It was a very upsetting experience and it has taken me some to feel I could leave ab honest review.The consultation was going to cost me £320 which I was fine about but for that money I expect better communication and professionalism which is why I had booked in the first place. Dealing with trade people should be happening outwith booked appointment times. Also, the parking is metered so if an appointment is running late you have to let people know so they can adjust their parking accordingly.I'm not sure why it is highly priced if appointment times are not honoured.For autistic people if we are not told what is going on it becomes very overwhelming for us so please take that on board and I'm sure most people would appreciate that anyway.

Visiting Westbourne actually makes the experience of visiting your doctor enjoyable! You are incredibly well looked after from the minute you walk in the door and nothing is too much trouble. The surroundings are relaxing and comforting and the practitioners take a great deal of time to understand your issues. You leave feeling better straight away! I can’t recommend highly enough.

This is simply the most beautiful, cosy and relaxing yoga studio I have ever had the pleasure of practising yoga in!Paula is a wonderful teacher and her classes are always dynamic with wonderful music to accompany them.I couldn't recommend the studio or Paula's classes highly enough!It's 5 stars all the way from me!

My daughter had a friend to stay from France who needed urgent medical attention late on a Friday. We were seen that evening and by the time we would have managed to get an appointment at the local GPs on Monday, she was well on her way to recovery. Even better - the whole appointment was conducted in French including a phone call to the girl's mother. We were all blown away by the service. Healthcare starts at the end of the phone and this clinic cares in spades. I loved the whole experience so much I applied to work here!

Westbourne Medical Studios is a place of exceptional warmth, beauty, grace, technical excellence and skillful service, on a bedrock of courage and vision.I have had the good fortune of attending sessions with Dr Veronica McBurnie, Heather Monteith and Klayr Hunter. Each session has been powerful and has helped me grow, in different ways.I have found breath work therapy sessions with Heather to be particularly transformative. Heather is a wise and inspiring, brilliant teacher. The tools I have learned during our sessions, with which I practice each day, have enabled me to trust myself again. Courage and inner strength have grown from that foundation of trust and I find myself living a more beautiful, rewarding and balanced life than I thought was possible.

What an amazing yoga experience. First time doing it. My wife and I had a brilliant time and were totally relaxed (and well stretched) when we were done. Westbourne is a great facility. Everyone should give it a try if you are looking for better life balance and emotional well being. Cheers!
