Castlewellan Arboretum Gardens
Perfectly peaceful, wonderful to wander through the gardens. The place has a magical charm about it. Great for all ages although involves a little walking and can be tricky for wheelchairs and prams. Also you have to keep dogs on their leads. Keep your kids in view as very easy to get lost unless of course you want to loose them for a while. Great place for kids to explore.

What is there not to like about Castlewellan forest park? There is good choice of walks, not least the one around the lake. There is a maze, but it's closed due to the covid 19. Then there is the walled garden. This is quite impressive. Car park is usually £5 , suspended for now . Toilets very clean.
