Clarity Heating

We decided to get a new boiler fitted as our old one was rather old and we didn’t want to be without heat over the winter.It was installed a couple of days after placing the order, on the days which they said. They were clean and tidy in the house and worked around our needs - working from home and a young family who needed a nap.They were a near identical quote to other companies.They seemed to take their time with installing the boiler.

Very reliable company. Great work. They worked on my sons house, did a fantastic job. We will be using them when we do our whole house renovation. Clean neat and tidy just got on with their job quickly. Nice people to deal with.

Clarity have done a great job in sorting lots of issues with our boiler and underfloor heating system. ( not installed by Clarity!). Mark is really knowledgeable, efficient and professional, even helping out on a Saturday morning while on holiday!Always quick to respond, definitely our “go to” people!

Heat Pump (Air Source, air to water) installation which included changing, moving, upgrading radiators, installing new hot water tank in loft and removing the old gas boiler.Value: I have to say in terms of value for money Clarity Heating are excellent. Everything that they have installed and the time it took to do the work felt extremely good value to me. Also was able to include Govt Boiler Replacement Grant Scheme.Quality: quality of knowledge, equipment and workmanship are very high and I would recommend Clarity Heating. So far the equipment is working well with no Problems.Service: all Clarity Heating's staff were hard working, polite and careful with my property. To the point that one evening they stayed particularly late to ensure that the new water tank (in the loft) was safe and would not leak once filled and tested. I would say the one challenge was that living with the work going on was hard. Understandable the workers were not always ready to do a full clean and tidy between working days which meant there was some cleaning each day to make parts of the house feel homely. They all work face coverings throughout all work which was greatly appreciated.Communication: mostly good but sometimes we needed to chase to find out which days they would be coming or times they would arrive.Worries: Changing from conventional gas boiler to ASHP was a worry but felt in good hands and had good explanation of use.Also moving from combi boiler to refit tank fed hot water was a concern but in reality is actually better than what we had before and all explained really well.Would I use again or recommend?Yes definitely, thanks for all efforts Clarity Heating.

In July 2021 we contracted Clarity Heading to install a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 32CDi Compact Boiler in our home. Unfortunately the installation was a nightmare from start to finish, and I discovered 9 months later that the boiler was classed as IMMEDIATELY DANGEROUS due to incorrect installation.After a water pipe incident, unfinished tiles/grouting and incorrectly registering the boiler, in April 2022, 9 months later, an engineer from Bosch attended to fix a water leak. He informed me that Clarity Heating's boiler installation was not carried out to standard due to a water valve being used on gas pipework and cement touching the gas pipework as it passes through the cavity wall.For those who don't know (like I didn't), fitting a water valve on gas pipework 'poses a very high risk of a serious incident occurring', and is therefore classed as IMMEDIATELY DANGEROUS according to the Gas Industry Unsafe Situations Procedure'. The Bosch engineer had to cap it until a local engineer was able to attend and correct it. The water valve had yellow 'gas' tape wrapped around the handle, which I can only imagine was intended to hide that the incorrect valve had been used. Clarity Heating were negligent, they introduced a dangerous potential gas leak into my home where I live with my 4 year old son and I was unaware of this for 9 months. In fact, had there not been a faulty valve in the boiler, who knows how long it might have been until I discovered there was an immediately dangerous appliance in my home.Senior management attended and corrected the installation. Adam was very apologetic, and informed me that the engineer involved in the installation is in the process of re-training before being able to work on gas, and that other installations he worked on are being reviewed. As compensation, I was offered a free boiler service and a £100 rebate. This is on an installation of £3,461, where the boiler pack has an estimated cost of between £1100-£1300. In a nutshell, I wouldn't recommend Clarity Heating if you'd like your boiler safely installed.

Our boiler had to be replaced and Clarity were quick to reply, quote and carry out the work. Ian and John who did the installation were pleasant to deal with and conscientious. Clarity was also £1,700 cheaper than British Gas.

We chose Clarity to install an air source heat pump and upgrade our radiators, as part of a move away from oil. We had no connection with them beforehand. We looked at other providers, but opted for Clarity because the chemistry seemed to work from our first meeting. All our dealings with them have been excellent and we are very happy to have chosen them. The work required them and us to co-ordinate with teams involved with windows, roofing and external wall insulation, and they did that in a very professional way. The work was planned carefully, the rationale for the plan was made clear and we were kept in the picture about the plan to deliver the work. They are easy to communicate with and responsive. The work itself was done by a very efficient and friendly team and the post-installation service has been very good. They worked hard to ensure that we could submit our application for the Renewable Heat Incentive. We have no hesitation in recommending them.

Clarity has serviced our boiler before, however we decided to replace the old system at it was old with a new combi boiler. They have installed our new combi boiler, removed the hot water tank from the previous system and did all the pipe work. This was overall a very good experience. They are very professional, very helpful, they know their trade very well and responded promptly into putting together a team to get this done. Very trustworthy. I would highly recommend them!

Our boiler was serviced by Clarity Heating recently. The office staff were very helpful in accommodating a suitable day when we could be at home and sent us a text the day before as a reminder. The engineer turned up on time, was polite, tidy, respected our property and knew his stuff. He even advised us on another issue we asked him about.Will definitely book again next year.
