Wigwam Holidays Ball Hall Farm

We came up from Gateshead and stayed here for 7 days and we're now gutted to be home. Wigwam was beautiful, relatively spacious and clean in an amazing location, with beautiful wildlife nearby (we even saw some baby deer nearby). We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend.

Fantastic place, one or two issues with noisy neighbours who didn't appreciate where they were. However, of you want to literally get away from everything, go here. The pods have a 2x electric hob, a microwave and a mini fridge. A small, but surprisingly capable bathroom and a lovely little living space. Also, the ducks on the pond will come to say hello whether you like it or not and they are delightful. One of the best places to go to get away from it all. I only took away one star because of issues initially with internet and the noisy kids and music being played on a quiet site

My wife and I had a beautiful three-night stay at the Ball Hall Farm Wigwams. Situated in the middle of a wood, in the middle of nowhere, the huts are next to a large pond with ducks and other wildlife; the scenery was like Bag End out of Lord of the Rings; truly stunning.The huts are fantastic, clean and comfortable, although the fridge is small, so don’t bring too much refrigerated food.We went mid-week and we were one of two there and it was super quiet. This is the perfect break or holiday if you want to get away from it all. There is no mobile signal, but Wi-Fi is provided, which was free and superfast.Everything was spot on. The perfect break/holiday. My only criticism was that there were no deck chairs so you could sit near the pond and read. Also, bring cash for the fire wood.Highly recommended and will come again.

We loved everything about Ball Hall Farm. The cabins are beautiful and comfortable, and contain everything you need. The location is stunning and peaceful. York is a short drive away, and for people travelling from the continent: so is the ferry port at Hull! This is a gorgeous part of the country, with everything from hills and woodlands, to white cliffs and beaches. Well worth visiting!

If you want a break away then look no further ,wigwam holidays is aboustle perfect with great hosts and in a great setting. nothing was to much.the owner(emma) replied to all my questions and is really friendly! If you want to get unwind this is the place to be! Thanks once agian be back soon:)

Just had a lovely relaxing four night break at Ball Hall Farm Wigwams. The Wigwam was of a very high standard, warm and with a great bathroom. The site is lovely, great for kids to explore and very peaceful. I did have a little grumble on my first night about the flies but once you’re in and have fly spray / papers it’s fine. The owners went out of their way to help. You can tell they are incredibly passionate about ensuring guests have everything they need. They fitted fly screens when I was there. Thank you for your hospitality.

Very well run. Good place for children and adults alike. Cabins were comfortable and clean. Btw, I got COVID the week we were supposed to go (very inconvenient). We were rebooked easily and without a hitch for a later date. We will go again

We were spectacularly lucky to win a two-night stay here in a raffle- it was absolutely blissful. The facilities in the cabin and on site are superb- the owners have thought of everything! The cabin was exceptionally clean and the instructions for everything were clear. The small woodland area was lovely and the location is great for travelling for days out in York.
