I had RLE (reflective lens surgery) on the 7th of July with Dr Mani, he was very caring, he made me feel at ease, and was a professional who gave me plenty of time. I highly recommend him, he’s a great eye surgeon and my eye sight is now brilliant. I am glasses free with great vision. Anyone considering this I’d highly recommend you going to optimal vision and Dr Mani.

I am Hafiz Karim Dad Chughtai from Pakistan. I tried to get laser surgery done in Pakistan in 2019 and 2022 but the surgeons there did not recommend me due to thickness of my cornea. I had been wearing glasses from 2002 to 2023 with my last prescriptions was - 3.25 & -2.75 in right and left eyes. I was tired of wearing glasses that is a huge source of discomfort. However finding from Facebook, I visited Optimal Vision Clinic, Gower street London on 14th February 2023 who offere free consultation as against other clinics who charge 250-500 pounds on consultation. The staff of the clinic, who are very professional and helping, did multiple eye scannings. Thereafter I met Dr Amir Mani, the surgeon of the clinic, and I told him that I was not recommended laser eye surgery in Pakistan. He told me that I had a thin cornea therefore LASIK cannot be performed and he recommended PRK instead, that is oldest and safest procedure. He told me that results of PRK and LASIK are same but PRK takes more time to heal.PRK experience:I booked for 24th February 2023 as PRK laser surgery date. After multiple scanning and finding everything OK , I was led to operation theatre, where Dr Amir Mani performed the surgery which took almost 5-8 minutes.Day 1-5:I felt discomfort for first three days and later discomfort went away. I used a pain killer for two days it was not needed later. My bandage contact lenses were removed by the clinic doctor Safiye on 5th day.Day 5-:Eyes look more normal and vision was blurry but I was functioning well on Day 7Week 2-4Healing was good and vision improved slowly and it was 60 % recovery.Weak 4-7 :My vision improved and on week 5, I visited the clinic, my eyesight in right eye was 20/20 and left eye 20/30. At the end of week 7, Dr Amir Mani checked himself again with scanning and prescription test, my eyesight was 20/20 in both eyes. My visual acuity was above 90% I can say with surety as I was able to see almost as clearly as I was doing with glasses before the surgery. Dr Mani asked me to continue FML for two more weeks (twice a day) and Theoloz duo drops for 6 more weeks. He told me that vision sharpness / acuity/ crispness continues to improve / stabilise till 3 months. He also advise me to use sun glasses for almost 6 months ( overall) in sunny days.After about 3 months:A week less than three months, I can see perfectly and my eyesight sharpness is almost 90%at night and 98% in the day. I use Theoloze drops for 2/3 times a day but FML is discontinued. I consider my recovery faster than the reviews that I read on various sites. I use sunglasses when outdoors in sunny days. Polarised sunglasses are best for UVA protection for the purpose.My PRK laser surgery experience at Optimal vision Clinic has been amazing and life changing experience. After over 20 years, I am without prescription glasses that gives a sense of freedom and comfort. Dr Amir Mani is highly experienced surgeon and a very kind human being. I would recommend everyone who intends to opt for Optimal Vision Clinic for eye treatment.

I’ve just been to the Optimal Vision Clinic for a chilazion removal and they were amazing. Such a lovely clinic. The whole team were so calming and professional. Dr Amir Mani was so reassuring, he explained the whole procedure really well and made me feel completely at ease. His assistant was also brilliant and explained the whole after care in a lot of detail. The price was clear from the beginning and they didn’t try to mess you around. Couldn’t recommend this clinic more.

Had refractive laser surgery completed here for short sightedness. I am a fairly low prescription and so put it off for a while.Optimal Vision was the second clinic I visited after attending Optical Express. Even with Optical Express' discount, Optimal Vision was almost £1000 cheaper.It's a small clinic with consistent and friend staff. It's easy to reach in central London. I had one assessment visit before my surgery day and 2 follows up afterwards without any complications or need for further review.The staff at the clinic were all very friendly, accommodating and at no point did I feel like I was being pressured into signing up.On the day of surgery Dr Mani and the staff in the theater room were clearly experts at reducing anxiety and supporting patient's through the process.A particular thank you to Sherri on supported my initial booking and answered my questions through the process. As well as to April who I saw on several appointments. She clearly explains the tests and processes occurring with a friendly and human approach. She provided a patient centered experience on every visit and a clear asset to the team.Give them a call if you've been thinking about laser eye surgery.

My refractive eye surgery went very well! The process was smooth and efficient! Dr. Mani ensures patient safety throughout the way!

My mother who is 67 years old had cataract in both eyes.We met Dr mani, who instantly put my mum at ease and answered all her questions3 weeks forward and her vision is near perfect.Thanks God we found Dr amir mani.Everything was perfect about this place, the staff at reception, the lady who took scans of my mum's eyes and the doctor himself.I was going to choose Harley Street or Cromwell, and I am glad I chose optimal vision. I just had my laser eye surgery on Friday and I cannot recommend the procedure and this clinic enough. They clearly explained what to expect and made everything super easy. And everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful. The procedure was so quick, and Dr Mani made me feel really relaxed despite being a little anxious on the day. Wish i had done this sooner.

I can’t thank Dr Mani and the clinic team enough.From the time I’ve tried to book the appointment to the time I left, they were just amazing. I’m a very anxious person and I’m concerned about my eye health. However, they made me feel so welcome, I can’t remember the last time I received such a good care.Dr Mani explained everything I needed to know, he made me feel very calm and he is so professional, he knows what he is saying. I know, sometimes we prefer to not pay for a private doctor, but health doesn’t have price. Optimal is definitely the clinic that I want go to look after my eye health!

I’d definitely recommend going to Optimal Vision for laser eye surgery. I had LASIK surgery in February and it was a significantly cheaper than other clinics, but the service I received was 10/10. I’ve just attended my final check up and my eyes are healing really well and I now have 20/20 vision. All the staff were really attentive and have assured me that if I need any further support I’m welcome to call.
