Loreto Centre
Lovely spiritual centre in a fantastic position: very close to a quiet sandy beach.Took a private retreat here and stayed in a self-contained apartment within the grounds. They also have rooms in the main building, one of which (pictured) has an especially nice view out to sea. Julie - who runs the centre - was extremely kind and friendly.

Loreto Centre
I recently returned from a stay at the Loreto Centre, Llandudno. In fact, it was my third visit to the centre in as many years. The Loreto Centre is quite a special place. I have stayed in a number of retreats, some convents and even in a monastery guest house but the The Loreto Centre stands out far and away the best I have stayed at.Once, I would never have considered a place like the Loreto Centre but once I had tried one, I found a different world to that of other types of places I had been too. Retreats offer great facilities, comfortable accommodation and a peaceful quiet environment. The Loreto Centre is quite a substantial building and has many facilities for guests, including a number of sitting rooms, library, chapel and a craft room amongst others. With the craft room, spend some time in there, create something special or just colour or draw to your hearts content. I have yet to create a masterpiece or anything even close but that doesn't matter as it is a very relaxing and pleasant way to pass the time.I have only ever stayed on a B&B basis at the Loreto Centre and the breakfast is always very good. I am aware that some guests have lunch and/or evening meals at the centre and I have no doubt that the selection of food and the quality of it, is as good as the breakfast. I have been lucky enough to have stayed in some of the small apartments they have and they are extremely quiet. There are also other types of accommodation available for guests. Wherever you are in the Loreto Centre, it is an oasis of peace, calm and quiet and that is wonderful to experience. I have found the staff at The Loreto Centre to be really nice, friendly and welcoming people. Of the guests I have seen and met, they are similar. The Loreto Centre is in an elevated position and set back from the road between the north and south bays of Llandudno and it is easy walk to either. The north bay and surrounding area has lots of shops and all the other amenities you would expect of a large town and of course, there is the pier to stroll along. For a quieter environment, stroll down to the south bay for wide expansive views across the bay and the mountains beyond. From my stays at the Loreto Centre, I have seen that they accommodate individuals and groups on different types of retreat. I stay on a what I believe is called a personal retreat. During the day, I sometimes go out and explore what North Wales has to offer. Conwy Castle is not far away as is Caernarvon Castle and both can be easily reached by public transport. There are many other places to visit including the seaside towns of Colwyn Bay, Rhyl and Prestatyn. There is of course, the Great Orme for which Llandudno is famous. I have been to the top a couple of times where the views are far and wide. There is also a café at the top where you can sit and take it all in. To get to the top of the Great Orme, you can use the tramway or a bus or if feeling fit, walk the route. For me, a visit to Llandudno and especially a stay at the Loreto Centre, is always something to look forward too. If you are looking to stay in a peaceful, comfortable and welcoming environment away from the modern noisy world, the Loreto Centre is exactly that and I highly recommend it. It is so good, I hope to make return visits for many years to come.

Loreto Centre
The most beautiful place. The sea is a 5 minute walk away and the Great Orme right on your doorstep. Nice rooms with your own bathroom. Smaller chapels and oratory’s for more private prayer and a larger chapel for prayer and corporate worship. 24 hour access so you can go stargazing in the middle of the night. Excellent food - I am vegan and was incredibly well looked after. The 8 day individually guided retreat is brilliant- very good spiritual accompaniment. You are well looked after and nurtured. A place to empty yourself into the silence and listen to God.I loved you before you came into being - St. Catherine of Siena
