This review is for the Afternoon Tea only.Afternoon tea was excellent, truly one of the best combinations for great service, food, and atmosphere. Our waitstaff took great care of us, allergens in our party, and we’re incredibly knowledgeable about every item on the menu. The Christmas theme was adorable and we had a great view of the kings motorcade driving past. Everything was delicious and I will definitely be back!

I visited for a festive winter wonderland afternoon tea and started off in the bar with a cosy crackling fire. Excellent service from staff throughout my visit. The afternoon tea was delicious and with front row seats to Buckingham palace. We watched royal carriages come and go and on our way out we picked up some extra treats which are complementary to visitors of the hotel.

I try to stay at The Ruben’s at the Palace during every trip to London, it’s like going home!! The staff is incredibly friendly and they give 100% effort to accommodate every need/request. The doormen/bellmen/front desk are beyond compare…let alone the location is superb (right across from Buckingham Palace and the Mews!). The rooms are beautiful, clean and original. I simply cannot wait to return this Christmas ❤️.

We went there for afternoon tea and the food was pretty disappointing. The service in the dining room was good but the doormen and front desk weren't very helpful or friendly. I'm a bit baffled at how this is a 5 star hotel to be honest. It's probably because of the location. The bathroom hand towels were stiff and dry like a loofah.

Afternoon tea not as good as last year. Things missing from table and when we asked for them we had to wait ten minutes or more to get them, even something as simple as a teaspoon. No jam with the scones, just lemon curd and some spiced stuff that was horrible, we had to ask for the clotted cream and jam then they kept us waiting over 10 minutes for it. We were shown to a tiny love seat facing the window, squashed together, we’re best friends but don’t want to be squashed, so we asked to move and they did. My coffee was tepid.Food 7/10, atmosphere 8/10, service 4/10 and value for money 5/10. I was shocked that the bottomless champagne afternoon tea had gone up by a third from what we paid in spring 22.

The Rubens Hotel in London, England, is situated conveniently across from the iconic Royal Mews, offering a unique glimpse into the British royal heritage. One of the standout features of the Rubens Hotel is its classic and historic ambiance, reflected in its architecture and interior design. While some may find its decor dated, it adds to the overall character of the place. The hotel's rooms are comfortable and spacious, with traditional furnishings that evoke a sense of nostalgia. Dining at the hotel is a delightful experience with The Leopard Bar and Restaurant offering a refined setting to savor traditional British dishes and afternoon tea.Despite its age, the Rubens Hotel provides attentive service, and the staff is known for their warm hospitality. They go the extra mile to ensure guests have a memorable stay.In conclusion, the Rubens Hotel in London, with its elegant yet older charm and prime location near the Royal Mews, offers a taste of traditional English hospitality. While it may not boast contemporary luxury, it makes up for it with its rich history and inviting atmosphere.

A beautiful hotel that was part of Buckingham Palace. I believe it is still an overflow for BP but just not a part of it. The decorations are a beautiful reflection of the past. Lots of red and gold. The rooms are quite small, and the bed is definitely very small, compared to US standards. But it is very fluffy and comfortable. Overall, a very nice experience. Next time, we would love to do afternoon tea as the room looked gorgeous, and very red indeed.

When travelling for work with a busy schedule, it’s those small things that make the difference. Next to a clean, quiet and comfortable room. There was excellent customer service from Rosie when checking in and checking out, including a personalized macaron when I arrived in my room.
