Visited this delightful looking fish and chips shop for the 1st time yesterday and was very impressed with my initial impression.There were very strict guidelines in place relating to the covid virus.The display was very inviting and a huge choice on the menu.I was served by an extremely polite lady who was very efficient.Arriving home we found the food had travelled well and once we tucked in a decision was quickly made that the food was amongst the best we had ever tasted.Well worth a visit, in fact, a superb place to visit.

Rang the manager up to tell her we had found 2 small, round magnets in our food; we weren't wanting to complain, just tell her about it so that she could ensure it doesn't happen again. She totally refused to admit this and told us this was not possible and to bring them to the shop then put the phone down on us. Went back to the shop to show her and she refused to believe we found them in the food and when I asked her if she was calling me a liar, she told me I had to get out of her shop and she was ringing the police! All I wanted was a sincere apology but she was just sarcastic and down right rude! I recommend that she goes on some sort of customer service training!

It's alright like the best thing shunt be the chips but it was the burger was stale as like it was cooked before the day of this and rewarmed

We ordered large chips battered sausage and a plain one chicken nuggets mixed meat and chips peas and curry and it was amazing will definitely be ordering again

Just had our dinner from Welcome Fish Bar Shirebrook.Plenty on the menu to choose from so something for even the fussy eater.Our carryout order was still hot enough to eat when we got home and thankfully they still peal the potatoe's for the chips.Staff were welcoming and chatty while our order was being cooked.i certainly recomend this chippy.

Good choice of food, good price and good service but the batter was soggy and not properly cooked through. Definitely not crispy!! Whilst the fish was ok the batter was raw inside. Although it was so undercooked that it came off the fish completely when I unwrapped it. We also had battered sausage and that was the same. Soft batter that was raw inside. Its a shame as otherwise the food was good but I won't be going again.
