I do love the hippodrome. It is magical for a show, red and gold as you work in, however, being on the larger/taller side of life the seats are small and I do not fit. I always have to go in a box. The VIP boxes at the back front on to the stage are great. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Snacks are expensive, just an FYI.

It really is an incredible & beautiful theatre with impressive original features. However! We were sat Upper Circle Row K which is literally the very back of the theatre; no seats up here, this is a bench & it is incredibly uncomfortable. The bench is so narrow it’s hard to sit still & there is absolutely no leg room either. A number of people on the row had to stand during the performance to stretch their legs. Our show was just under 3 hours & sadly I couldn’t wait for it to finish so I could move. Also with all these old theatre spaces, it is boiling hot after an hour or so. I bought one bottle of Pepsi Max at the concession stand which was £3.80 which also made my eyes water. It’s a great theatre but the experience of seeing the show would make me question coming again.

Peter Pan was an excellent show. The cast was very good. Fay Toser and Andy Ford were great. It was great to see Captain Hook (formerly Hercule Poirot) Enjoyable for everyone..

Lovely theatre, all round friendly staff.Great view from the Grand Circle. However the leg room in Row A is a bit tight and I'm only 5ft2! Overall, had a great afternoon seeing Mother Goose after seeing it back in January whilst it was playing in London!

Main hall in Bristol for all major shows. Very hot in the summer as there’s no air con or fans.. really HOT..Seats are not comfortable but it’s what it’s.

The Hippodrome theatre is very well located in the centre of Bristol. Good decor, clean. A bit cramped but that is to be expected. The staff were friendly and I was pleased to see they were making sure people didn't have their phones out during the performance.

I really enjoyed my experience there. Staff was polite and professional. It's always a great place to see some plays or performances. Fairly pricey, but individual to everyone.

Went to see Shrek the musical at the Bristol Hippodrome. I booked tickets long ago and since became a wheelchair user, so our tickets were not for the wheelchair accessible area. This was fine as I can use my walking stick. We called the theatre during the day to ask if there would be somewhere to store my wheelchair and was assured there would be. Upon arriving I was told to store my wheelchair behind the piano in the main bar. After the show we came out of a side exit so one of my companions went to collect it for me. He wasn't stopped or questioned by any members of staff. Anyone could have walked off with my wheelchair and they can be very expensive. The merchandise booth was just inside the main doors meaning when people queued up there it made a crowd that was difficult to get through, people in the queue were then asked to queue on the stairs excluding myself and other wheelchair users.Overall beautiful theatre but poorly organized in the evening.

Great theatre in a great location. Overall friendly staff. Up till now I only sat in the upper circle, but even from there I could see the whole show. The only downside is that it is quite snug up there, but I guess ypu get what you pay for.Toilets are clean, but a very large queue forms eveywhere at intermission. Especially at every bar! They have now put in a feature that by scanning a qr code you can order and get your drinks delivered to your seat or picked up at a collection point which is great as I think the bar queuing let's the whole place down a little bit.Overall great shows and lovely atmosphere whatever you watch.
