Ponds Forge International Sports Centre Car Park

The leisure pool was ok, but a little disappointing. Plenty of changing facilities and lockers. Inside, the pool area is looking a little tired. The flooring on the stairs to the flumes also looks like it needs a bit of repair. Had a good time regardless though.

This car park gets locked in the evening and there is nothing to warn you in the car park. I got back to my car to find it locked in and no way of getting it out, no security anywhere and noone answering the phone given. Cue an expensive taxi ride, excess parking to pay and a return to Sheffield the next day. Never again!!! Be warned!

Car park closing overnight without any warning or signs.Left the car there at 7 pm, paid parking until 0:30. At 11 pm, I'm going to pickup car and all gates are locked and there is no way to get the car out, no security, maintenance or anyone who can help and none of the calls been answered.Had to pay the rest of the night parking so I don't get fined with £100, an uber to go home and another to come back next morning to pick up the car.Not a fun experience!

App was a nightmare to complete as was the automated payment system over the phone. Others in same position, taking ages to to go through the complex and confusing payment system. Don’t waste your time with that and use ticket machine!

DO NOT PARK HERE IF YOU PLAN ON STAYING IN SHEFFIELD PAST 9PM.No where when you park at the car park do they tell you they lock all entrances and exits to the car park at 9pm with no one to call to let you out.Pay by app which allows you to book (in my case) till midnight, with no warning that the gates will be locked when you come back to your car.Was going to a gig at the o2 which recommended this car park (but yet the gig finished at 11pm. If you are visiting the area, then park on the street outside this carpark so you don't get trapped.

DO NOT PARK HERE! Found on Parkopedia and put the return time as 10.30pm. This was a Christmas family treat to the theatre. NO WARNING on the website when we booked, or at the car park, that the car park closed before our ticket time expired and locks you out. Absolute nightmare. No hotel rooms available so we had nowhere to stay. Totally stranded 50 miles from home in -2 degrees, snow, and with a family of four slowly freezing. No security numbers. No out of hours emergency numbers. This could have been a really serious emergency if the Police hadn’t helped us.

Not the cheapest place to park and not the most expensive. Decent enough size and alright if you're just going to visit Ponds Forge for a bit.That's all I can say.

Do not park here if staying in Sheffield past 9pm. My friend and I parked here when visiting the academy. There is no signage at all to explain WHEN to get a ticket. It just says get ticket on exit. No visable ticket machines. So is that exiting in the car or what? It also allows you to pay for a ticket on an app and allows you to buy 12 hour parking at 2 in the afternoon even though it shuts at 9pm. Also there is absolutely no signage to say that this car park closes at 9pm. My friends car was trapped in the car park overnight, she tried to pay for parking the next day when we found the ticket machine and it wasn't working, so she tried calling and there was no answer on the phone line. She managed to find a ticket machine in the end and bought the max amount possible hours hoping that would cover the cost and a few weeks later received a £100 fine. I think it's an awful car park and seens to want people to get fined to make money. Awful awful place. Please make signage so people know what's what.
