Worked on the farm as an Evacuee 13 year old Potato harvesting in 1941 . I was billeted with Mr Jack Mason at Northorpe who was a relation , he sometimes borrowed one of their horses if we were in need of more than one for what ever work we were doing in the Fens .They had better class horses than ours really well looked after by a good Horseman ,the one I used to have was called Short he was the safest for me to work,very powerful,what we called Half legged Suffolk Punch.at that time I remember a small boy And a girl living on the farm ,Robert the boy maybe.
