Willowbeck Lodge

We stayed here on two overnight stops at the start and end of our honeymoon, and it was incredible. The building and rooms are stunning, well decorated and designed, and immaculate in condition and cleanliness. We had dinner and breakfast on both occasions, and honestly hats off to the chefs! The food was incredible, truly fantastic. Staff super friendly and helpful [and even recognised us on the return overnight stay nearly a week later which was lovely!]

We stayed here as a group on business and was not disappointed. The setting is beautiful, the food is home cooked and fresh and the staff team are excellent .We found this place by chance and would not hesitate in returning . The bedrooms are a variety of shapes and sizes, with a two bedrooms lodge for two people on site which is if an excellent quality .The staff go above and beyond, Ellis , jo and Andrew the owner and chef but a special mention for Steph who went above and beyond every day .The setting is tranquil clean and well presented and the food is delicious with a choice of home cooked breakfasts to a variety of meals each evening . With a group of six and a week long stay we tried everything on the menu with not a complaint.This is definitely the best place we have stayed in this area and for a group that visit the area regularly would all definitely returnand highly recommend. Next time hopefully not for business !

Stayed one night room was nice, but when it came to having a shower the water was cold, freezing cold wrapped in a towel, only way I could contact reception was to phone hotel on a outside line, owner arrived 15mins later apologised said it would take a couple of hours to heat the water, the other option was a different room. I'm stood naked with a towel round me I went for the cold wash option as we where 30 minutes late for dinner. He offered me drink I refused. I spoke to the owner in the morning letting him know how I felt and asked for a discount off the £165 bill which he refused saying it wasn't his fault these things happen. My reply was well its definitely not my fault my opinion of this man is very rude and more interested in money than his clientele. I will not be returning while he is in charge.

What a phenomenal place to stay! The loveliest staff, the most comfortable bed, bedroom and bathroom so clean and beautifully furnished and well equipped. And the breakfast was just fantastic. Best full English I’ve ever had. We also dined at the restaurant in the evening and it was a great experience. Very fresh and delicious with great options and in a beautiful setting. We’ll definitely be back.

We can't say enough good things about Willowbeck Lodge. Beautiful location,lovely spacious rooms and a gorgeous view. All of the Staff were friendly and very helpful. The food at Finni's restaurant was exceptional and highly recommended. We stayed there for our upcoming Wedding and it will forever hold a special place for us.

A lovely venue nestled next to a large. The rooms are large, bright and ours overlooked the lake. It is more of a boutique guesthouse. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is a small bar. The dining room also faces the lake. Full breakfast was good. Not oily, and very tasty

Willowbeck was ideally located for a stopover on our way back from Skye. It’s only a few minutes from the M6, tucked away in Scotby. Our garden view room was spacious, the bed comfy and breakfast was excellent.

Visited last night with friends for dinner. Food was superb. The lady looking after us and everyone else in the restaurant was by far the best waitress / host I have met (and I work in the industry). So genuine, so helpful and very friendly. People like her are what make a restaurant standout as a cut above the rest. Already looking forward to visiting again soon.

Had a lovely stay here for a business meeting in November. The room was lovely and the staff really looked after you. It has a very homely feel and was very peaceful and quiet, definitely the perfect place to come for a relax and a break! The food was also delicious!

Had a great stay on way up to Scotland in willow room. However on return journey stayed in Hazel room. Very unsuitable as joins kitchen and all you can hear is banging from the kitchen and banging doors . Tv didn't work properly. Could do with fresh milk in room .
