Julie is the perfect Dog trainer, not only is she highly qualified with a wealth of knowledge and experience, she has a natural empathy and kindness.The training is all about reward for your dog to encourage trust and build confidence between you both, with plenty of help and advise when needed for us owners. Classes are structured but always fun and rewarding for dog and handler alike.After many years of training with Julie I consider her a dear friend as made the time I had with my beloved Taz the best it could possibly be.He absolutely loved every class and for that I cannot thank Julie enough. It goes without saying my Daughters little dog Rolo loves it too.Therefore I cannot recommend highly enough.

We took our pup to the 8 week course of puppy training. We have just completed and will miss it a lot! Julie curates an environment which is really comfortable and gives even the most nervous puppy a chance to thrive and learn! It was a smaller class which I appreciated, as it meant that we all got to know and support one another through the learning milestones! I would highly recommend for anyone who needs puppy training, and would definitely go back if I needed further training in the future!

Julie is so lovely and her puppy training was amazing! We absolutely loved every week and learnt so much. My kids got involved too and we use what we learnt every day. I highly recommend her courses. Her knowledge on training and behaviour is extensive.

I had behavioural issues with 1year old Bengal.Julie helped me to understand the needs of the cat and take some major decisions in order to let my cat be a cat.Julie was very patient and understanding and always answered all of my questions.

Julie has been a fantastic help for us with our Westie Burton. We started with puppy classes and Julie gave us so much support and advice from toilet training to working on our recall. We then joined the Saturday club which is a great environment with a bunch of like minded people all looking to do the best for our dogs and having fun at the same time. Even in covid lockdown these sessions turned virtual on Zoom and were always a part of the week I (and Burton I think!) looked forward to. It is a great interaction between Julie and the rest of the group whether in person or online. We have learnt so much and each week are amazed at how much Burton is picking up. Julie is also a great support for any issues you are having and always has some useful feedback to help! We are so grateful that we have found such a wonderful trainer and even more grateful that she is always excited to see Burton (whether in person or virtually!).

I feel motivated to teach my dog in one of Julie's classes because I know from experience we'll succeed. I'm disabled and a wheelchair user but am never made to feel a burden or different. We adapt the classes between us where necessary so that I can produce good results. Julie's classes are highly recommended. We have always achieved the desired results with our dogs.

Julie Thinking Paws has trained both our labs from puppy & foundation and continues with her fun Saturday morning dog school. Julie is an amazing dog trainer & behaviour expert. Julie’s techniques are fun which our dogs find stimulating and have enjoyed over the past 9 years. I would highly recommend Julie in all aspects of getting the best from your dogs.

I highly recommend Julie as a trainer. I have done clicker courses, 121 sessions and now the Learning Paws course. The classes are well planned, and training is delivered in a professional and friendly way. Charlie is a rescue who arrived accompanied by a number of behavioural problems but Julie is incredibly patient and always knows what Charlie will be able to cope with during his training. He is such a bright dog who loves to learn but his anxiety issues around other dogs and excitable nature can sometimes make training a challenge. The distraction and calming techniques I have learnt from Julie have quite simply changed our lives.

Julie, is a wonderful trainer. Very knowledgeable. She takes every dog and owner into consideration and makes sure that everyone is comfortable during training session.
