The Garage Door Company Ltd

After doing a fair bit of checking on what was the best electric garage door I finally settled on The Garage Door Company. Their quote was by far the best and the range of doors I could chose from was very extensive. The sales rep was very knowledgable and helpful in choosing the best style of door, he was not pushy and very friendly. They fitted the door 1 week earlier than the given date. The 2 guys who turned up were very efficient, friendly and upon completion of the work removed everything from site and after giving a full explanation of the workings of the door made sure the garage was clean and tidy. The installation process took less than 1 day to complete. The whole experience dealing with the company from the sales staff, the office support staff to the installation guys was a very impressive experience and well worth the 5⭐️ I have given

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Also trade under Dawes Doors, Wudus Ltd and probably countless other company names...for obvious reasons!Charged £360 for 2 replacement garage door cables and the work took less than an hour to carry out! When I requested an itemised receipt for the work carried out (I had to make countless phone calls as they do not respond to emails) I was advised I would receive this, then 2 days later advised by another Wudus employee they do not provide itemised receipts!! So I have essentially paid £360 for 2 garage door cables according to their receipt! Upon researching the parts can be purchased for around £20!

Good communication. Prompt service. Good advice. Installers turned up at the appointed time and did a swift installation. No problems.

My door was chucked in and up rather than fitted, rush job and you can tell. When your paying good money and these are supposed to be the experts as thats all they fit garage doors disappointing that this is the end product. Would you be happy that the customer has to sort out the niggles they left behind ? Why does that blank plug not fit ? why is the frame scratched ? why is the fixing screw insecure ? why does my interior safety plate look nasty (choice of screw heads ) and wonky ? and then after a demonstration to the wife how the emergency handle work it falls to bits ? (wrong choice of fixings ? ) not the best scenario when your relying on this in an emergency / back up situation. The main control box was loose on the wall , maybe to compensate for the wiring behind it ? Oh yes we had the courtesy call next day and they weren't happy to hear the truth .Are all garage doors fitted like this ? are all the companies the same ?

The team were really friendly it's quite a hard place to find, first install took a couple of weeks door turned up with no handle and a scratch on it waited over 3 months for the door to be replaced with a new one and still waiting for the plastic edging to be fitted over the wooden posts either side of the door, think I'll just do it myself. I guess when it goes well it's great but when you have to chase up a job to be completed it's not. At least I can open my garage door now to cut the grass as it was bolted shut for just under 3 months. Keep the customer informed would be my advice

My garage door had not been up too long when strong winds tore the garage in two, with half of it lay across the road and the sides holding the door ripped from the wall. This exposed my garage to intruders, as it was not possible to actually place the door back up.After many calls and arguments with them, they send someone out to provide a temporary fix for the garage until they could replace it with a new order from Germany. This took weeks for them to do, so I had to empty the garage of anything valuable because it was open for weeks.I waited three months until finally they send someone out. In between this time, I rang and rang for an update, always promised someone will call back, and I had to ring them a week after as no one had bothered to call me back.When they did send people to sort it out, they did not have a new garage door, what they did is put it back together. So, my door is still damaged and dented, but now worse as there is horrible glue attempting to cover the cracks and dents in the door. So, I was lied to that a new garage door was on its way and I had to wait until it came from Germany, and if they were honest and said that they would just repair the door, why have me waiting three months?Honestly the worst customer experience I have ever had. They talk high and mighty during their sales pitch, and charge a fortune (because I did pay a lot more than a standard garage door), but as soon as they have installed it, there is no aftercare support at all. I would never choose this company again.

Amazing company. From the free survey and quote, right through to the install and post install follow up, the guys at Blaydon are simply awesome. My new door is worth every penny

Managers are all rude. Don’t let there staff have a day off for health visitor appointments and drs appointments. 2 employees are very rude. Shay and Jordan call people names and blast music outside my house early one morning.

I had someone come to survey my garden gate. He said they could work on it and he will send me quotes. I've been waiting for weeks and still haven't received a quote. There may be private issues I'm not aware of but it could've been communicated to me much better by the company

My on line order, delayed because of a faulty franking machine in their office, turned out on arrival to be incorrect. Staff have been most helpful in attempting to retrieve the situation but the problem remains unresolved . I have every confidence there will be a satisfactory outcome. I hope.True to their word I was contacted next day and informed my order was in the post.
