After many many months of worrying about the lack of eye contact, speech delay and communication delay we are so glad we found and choose Gail to help us. Gail is so friendly and extremely professional and her way of working works perfect for us as a family and our daughter has developed so much in a short space of time. We now have a 3 year old who is much more engaged and her speech has come on brilliantly. We cannot thank Gail enough, she has given us so much confidence and it’s so reassuring and lovely to hear such positive feedback from a true professional about our daughter. We reached out to Gail to help us with our 2yr old son who had limited speech, we had no idea where to start but Gail has been invaluable support on our son’s journey to improving his speech. Gail’s positive encouragement and knowledgable advice has given us the confidence and ability to teach our son and incorporate these practices into everyday life. Gail is friendly, positive and the improvement we’ve seen in our son’s speech is wonderful!

I started with Gail when my son was 2 years and 3 months and didn’t not speak a single word. Gail understood my anxiety and taught me me step by step on how to help my son to communicate which includes some brilliant techniques to improve all areas of communication such as gestures and eye contact. She also got in contact with his nursery straight away to gain better understanding of his level of speech. Nursery also received tips and directions from Gail on how to better help my son. He is 2 and half now and already saying a lot more words and I am so please with his progress. In my opinion, the lessons I had with Gail is worth every penny and the methods I have learned from her will benefit my son and myself for a life time.

I never normally leave reviews but I couldn’t not for the most amazing woman that has helped turn my sons life around the last year! Our son had one of the most complicated speech miswirings Gail had seen and at first I thought it was impossible that he would ever be able to talk fully. He wasn’t able to say any P, B, M (other than mummy), L words plus others and had really developed his own way of talking! We made the decision to delay starting school for a year on the school and Gail’s advice and this couldn’t have been a better decision! I could cry looking at the boy Infront of me today that has one more session before he is signed off by Gail! He has woken up every Wednesday for over a year so excited for Gail day and every week the hour has been so much fun for him full of laughter, games, learning and positivity! I have never seen him so engaged with anyone! Arthur is going to miss you so much Gail as am I and we cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for our beautiful boy! You really are amazing at what you do and I would recommend you a million times over! ❤️ Xxxx

We started seeing Gail earlier this year as we were concerned with how my three year old son's speech was progressing. We couldn't be happier now with the progress he has subsequently made thanks to her support. Gail is great with children and has made all the sessions loads of fun for him. He looks forwards to seeing her and nearly cries when she leaves! She puts a lot of effort into preparing for the sessions and the 'homework' she tailors to leave for us. Last week my son proudly said his name - clearly and with confidence - for anyone concerned about their child`s speech development I can`t recommend Gail @ Happy to Talk highly enough. Her calm, reassuring manner and lovely, fun approach to our sessions have felt more like a friend coming to play rather than speech therapy and my son has engaged and responded well. Her expert advice has helped me to understand how to help and she gives you the tools after each session to work in partnership - invaluable to concerned parents. Each of the sessions are carefully planned for the individual child`s need and interests and I have been so impressed with Gail`s response to the recent lockdown restrictions. Gail set up online meetings and put so much effort and preparation into tailoring the sessions to make each one fun for my son - he`s loved it. We`ve had onscreen roaring dinosaurs, interactive games, breakout dance routines - they`ve been a huge success and I can`t thank Gail enough for the improvement I am seeing in my son`s speech.

We contacted Gail because we were concerned about our son’s speech and some related behavioural issues. We found Gail to be knowledgeable and professional. We soon got to work using the VERVE method which really showed us how to best support our son with his speech development. When we first started speech therapy I’d just delivered twins. I found Gail’s flexibility and practical outlook a great support when trying to balance our new arrivals and helping our son. He is in a much better place with his speech thanks to our work with Gail and I would highly recommend her to you.

We could not recommend Gail enough. She has helped our son progress from saying only a few words and sounds to speaking in full sentences. She immediately identified issues we hadn’t noticed and gave us the techniques to help improve his speech and communication at his own pace. We now have a chatty, happy, confident little boy and we wouldn’t have that without Gail’s help.

My daugher has been working with Gail for over 6 months, all sessions have been on Zoom calls and the difference in my daughter's speech has been fantastic. The sessions are great fun and keep my daughter interested and entertained! Gail also provides learning tools to help us practice at home.

I contacted Gail in ~February 2021 whilst looking for someone who could help with my son's stammer. She responded quickly and was extremely understanding about my concerns. We held our sessions over Zoom and she was able to teach us some techniques to try. By analysing videos of us playing with our son she was able to show us what we were already doing well and advise of things that we could do differently that could help. It was a very gentle and supportive experience and my husband and I both feel much more able to support our son following these sessions. I would absolutely recommend :-)
