NIU Edinburgh - Pure Electric Mopeds

First class service provided by Ross at Edinburgh branch. Visited several times before making a purchase, Ross was always welcoming, friendly, knowledgable and helpful. I also had a test ride of several models before deciding on the best one for me. I’ve had a few mopeds over the years, but these are def the future. Love mine. Highly recommended.

I found Ross incredibly helpful, he spent a Saturday afternoon facilitating test drives of most of the models in the shop. I felt he was trying to get the best fit for us and not giving it the heavy sell. I’ve had the bike now for six weeks or so, totally love it. It’s ideal for folk in flats who can’t charge directly to the bike as the batteries are removable with very little hassle.

We went to Edinburgh to have a look at the different bikes available & we were so convinced with all the information given by Ross that we made up our mind to buy one.Ross was very good in providing all information in how bike works and in keeping up with what needs to be done next. He is so committed in replying emails and it makes the whole process so much easier.He delivered our bike on time and I could not have been much happier.

Went into NIU as wanted to talk about a moped. Mentioned I was finding it hard to find somewhere to do CBT as they all booked. Ross the owner told me about Harley's training in Edinburgh who were cheaper and had more availability. Great recommendation.Spoke with Ross about my moped needs. Was looking for something to do a 6 mile round commute on mostly 20mph roads, three to four times a week and that I wanted a 50cc so I didn't need to repeat CBT. Ross showed me a few options and ultimately recommended the NQI Sport. Selecting, setting up, communication and after sales from Ross have been great. Very down to earth, very helpful. Given he has somewhat of a monopoly in Edinburgh for electric mopeds he could easily get away with not needing to be as helpful but he really is quite keen at setting people up in What will probably be very common vehicles in the future in Edinburgh.For the moped itself. Firstly the range description is accurate. It has three power levels that aren't just power but are speed controlled so level 1 low power get you up to 10mph and great for car parks, level 2 is medium and gets you to 22mph and level 3 is high and gets you to 30mph. They are not like gears, you can start the bike from stationary from any level. I use mostly level 2 as 20mph speeds in Edinburgh and the range is prob just over what is advertised.The GPS and alarm are great. Id recommend a disc lock, cover and chain which Ross can order for you. The controls are easy and battery light allowing removal to take it inside for charging easily. The alarm does not work when battery is removed but GPS does.Sometimes the indicator switches off after a few seconds when waiting at a junction and the battery lid is not perfect at being flush with the compartment. However you get a foot mat that covers the lid included. I would recommend getting stick on velcro to keep it in place.Moped easily takes a passenger and is sturdy. I would recommend this bike and Ross shop.

Ross was excellent. Very patient and informative with me, having never ridden any kind of moped / scooter before. He took time to talk me through the bike options and let me take a few out for a test ride. He was then very helpful assisting me through the process of applying for an energy saving trust loan. The whole process was pain free and I am now the proud owner of a great electric moped. Thank you again Ross.

These machines are amazing. Cheap to buy, very economic to run, fantastic fun and good for the environment. Ross and his team were amazing at purchase and have kept in touch through great after sales, although complete trouble free riding since purchase. A great way to commute or get around town, fast safe and no more traffic. Ross has a model to suit everyones needs - get one as well as or instead of that old motor vehicle !

Really impressed with the friendly and well informed chats I had with Ross priory to purchasing and the after sales care is second to none. Great range of emotorbikes and emopeds too that made making my choice really easy. Loving escooter life they’re so much fun and nippy around town on my commute. Great place!
