BTG Performance - Car tuning, remapping, rolling road and workshop.

Took my E46 to BTG Performance for a Hunter wheel alignment. Great friendly team, welcomed in and offered drink. The mechanic undertaking my alignment came over and talked me through what he was going to and what he found before the adjustments.They spent an hour meticulously adjusting the alignment, followed by a quick test drive to make sure it's how it should be. Don't think you'll get that at the big chains.Clean workshop and they cover the car seat etc to ensure the car leaves as it came.Top work guys. Will be coming back and have recommended you already!

Big mistake getting my car remapped here and this garage has the worst communication skills i have ever known! Had it remapped here September 2020 and after roughly 200 miles the engine management light came on causing the car to go into limp mode when i was 100 miles away from home. Had to phone the AA and after i made it home this contiued to happen week after week sometimes as little as 80 miles after the fault had been reset. This was causing constant issues and hassle for 4 months and i had taken it back to BTG 3 times to rectify this fault unsuccessfully. Decided enough was enough and had BTG remove the remap and put back to standard which i have covered over 1000 miles fault free. This is obvious there was something on the map that was causing my car to fault which i was told would be the case by my local garage and mercedes. I asked for a refund once it had been removed and then scott the director turned very unprofessional and said it has been over 6 months ago since they originally did it which i replied it has been 4 months with constant faults and he replied see how it goes and he would speak to his partner. I left it for a couple of weeks and basically all my emails were ignored or responded to about 2 weeks later and would not return my calls. It was only when i was going to take legal action or request a chargeback from my bank i started getting responses. Got my refund in the end minus the £100 deposit as i could not be bothered communicating with them anymore and did not want them to have nothing else to do with the car. All together i lost 3 days of unpaid work taking the car back over a 100 mile round trip plus the fuel, along with purchasing a new battery and countless breakdowns due to the remap which affected my partners daily work for the nhs when she had the car and i was offered absolutely nothing during the whole process. Didnt need the money back but always about principle for me should of known that a big garage never means the best and i wish i had taken my car to a small family owed company like big fish tuning who actually care about all there customers and dont try and make excuses and ignore you when there are problems! any remaps go to big fish tuning at Middlesbrough they are a lot cheaper and this includes a dyno run which is about an extra £80 on top of the remap at BTG. Avoid here at all costs they will be lovely and friendly taking your money but if they have to return it due to issues different story they dont want to know typical greedy owners!

Awesome experience. Had my front splitter replaced and a pesky screw swapped which had given me trouble for years. Sounds simple but I assure you it was a nightmare to remove! Really great price and service. Will definitely take my car back for anything in the future. Thanks!

After 4 days of having my car to fix the overheating issue, they just said sorry we couldn't fix it. Charged me £60 for diagnosing the source of issue that were not able to find! and claimed that they have done a lot of work on my car..I took my car back to home and checked their work and take a look at the photos I took. is this called performance professionals?1. Left the radiator hose loose and clamp unfastened2. Air intake box not fitted in place properly3. they lost or broke the thermostat bleeding plastic screw and replaced it with a metal hex screw.4. The big washer for intake box screw is missing5. one vacum hose is damaged and ripped6. The wiring retainer is not plugged back7. A bottle cap has been left there!!!

My car went into BTG last week for a Revo stage 1 remap on my Golf R. Highly recommend this team! Clean workshop, very Professional and Great customer service. The remap has made a huge difference to the car, can't stop driving it! Thanks again

Fantastic place. Great staff. Done a stage 2 Revo map on my golf R perfect, also changed the clutch and flywheel and done Dyno runs. Hunter wheel alignment. Could of been a better experience will use again in the future 100%

I've been going to BTG for everything the car needs. Always a nice atmosphere at the garage and top staff.Any problems my cars had have always been sorted out quickly and at a fair price. I definitely recommend BTG for performance or maintenance.I recently took the golf in for diagnostics due to a check engine light and a major service. Had the car back the same day and its running smoother than ever, no issues and really happy with the results.Looking forward to getting the car mapped in the near future.Conor

Took the car in for a remap few years back and got lied to as I later found out. Went away for a few hour and came back. Basically they said the car had already been remapped so they wouldn't remap it I think this was due to my car having 2 ecus and they couldn't do it in their deal price rather than telling the truth, later found out it hadn't been remapped after checking the flash and Dyno figure elsewhere which was stock and went through a reputable company to remap it at the later date.

Excellent customer service all-round from the guys at BTG.I trusted them to carry out a major service on my 2017 Ford Focus ST as well as fit wheel spacers and lowering springs.After they did all of that to a high standard, I went back for a Hunter wheel alignment and a Milltek Sport catback exhaust system.They're very accommodating and are willing to go out of their way to make sure you're happy with the work, rather than just doing a quick job. I'm over the moon with the results they've provided and will definitely be going back in the future for more upgrades. Thanks BTG!
