Sunnyside Day Nursery

My three children have all gone to Sunnyside since they were babies. We have got to know everyone very well over the last 8 years and the staff have been brilliant and caring.

Wouldn't recommend or take any child here.Staff don't know how to assist using bathroom breaks, ever seem to be around if you child gets hurt, never notices cuts and bruises on your child and act surprised when you bring it up, they don't help your child dress appropriately according to weather and blame it on the fact the weather was different 6 hours ago, they randomly decide if you can't bring your child in that day/week and fail to make records of owed hours, tell your child they are a different age than they are, don't feed your child sometimes because they 'got busy' and 'forgot' to serve their meals, they self diagnose the kids as to what they want for example autistic and then suspend children because they can't look after more than 5 kids at any time, pretend there is a contribution until you register then tell you it's actually a mandatory fee you must pay. I could go on and on. Relieved I pulled my child out now though.

I had my son Zakariyas 5th birthday in March and every one enjoyed it the place has plenty of parking outside and the staff are helpful play area is spot on!!

We have started going weekly the new owners are constantly trying to improve the frame the under 4 room as changed beyond recognition the equipment is not cheap so to keep prices the same is very good of them also the staff are very good lauren is always happy to help and nothing is too much trouble thank you see you next week

Place is filthy like it hasn't been cleaned in years! The building is damp and paint wet and peeling on wall's, the Staff are okay but not very welcoming. Either close down or refurb. Most of the toys for the under 4's are filthy and sticky with bits missing.

My son has been going to this nursery for a little over a year now and he loves it he’s 2 and already getting so far with his learning. The staff are very friendly and keep you updated with everything your child does within the day. My son is always so happy after a day here and that’s what matters to me the most, I will be sending my second son here too once he’s here .I would definitely recommend this nursery.

Disappointed that I'm only giving one star. I visited today with my 3 year old son. It was cold. Under 4s room had no toys but a kitchen but nothing in it to play with. There were a few books and that's it. The climbing frame andball pool is good but could do with a steam clean and the food was terrible. It's a shame as my son had an amazing party here in July so I don't know what's happened.

Lovely little nursery. Both my kids have been here and have thrived from their time here and the staffs help :) nice little outdoor play bit aswell as inside with educational aspects too

My daughter has been coming here for nearly 2 years (from the age of 1, she is now nearly 3). She has made so much progress and loves to go. The staff are welcoming and lovely. I have never had any issues while being here. They are always introducing new things for the children to be involved in like yoga.She has made lots of friends in the time she has been there and the staff are really good at keeping to what I would like for my daughter like naps etc.They have been on many trips including the woods, yeadon tarn, visits from Santa. They have lots of parent craft days which are great. They also have a play centre next door which my daughter also loves to visit
