I have never been into a Charles Clinkard store before and have to report that it was one of the most genuinely friendly shops I have ever visited. The staff to a man" (you're probably not allowed to say that anymore) we're so nice and helpful that I realised I had almost forgotten what it was like to receive excellent service.Really pleased with my wide fitting shoes especially as they were in the sale.Well done all."

I needed walking sandals for a holiday at short notice and called into the shop on Monday. Although they didn't have any in stock they took the trouble to check stock in their warehouse and order the ones I liked. These arrived this morning (Wednesday). The service i received was attentive and very helpful, also cheerful and polite. On another note many of us go to hot climates during February - therefore look for sandals. Is the shoe industry missing a trick here?

We travel from Bromsgrove to specifically go to this store. The staff are fantastic with the kids for school shoe fitting. The lady first thing this morning was great with both of mine, especially my Autistic daughter. Highly recommend the shop for customer service.

I spent 10 minutes in this shop and was totally ignored by staff. I selected shoes and waited - standing and sitting - no response.

Seemed like a good selection of shoes, we were not there for me. But as I sat and waited I appreciated how clean and tidy the displays around the walls were. And this wasn't ruined by the stands in the middle with the 'sale' shoes. These can look such a mess. Prices seemed reasonable too.

Went to purchase kids trainers from this shop after a bad experience with incompetent staff at clarks maybird centre stratford on Avon.wish we had come her first. Not only did the lady have excellent customer skills. Was fantastic with my children and made sure they were happy with there chosen trainers. We will definitely be coming back as there was also far more choice and the children loved it too. It just proves what good customer service can do.

Excellent service but do require a selection of children's formal/dress shoes. Trainers and canvas shoes have a time and place but dress shoes should always have a space in any wardrobe.

Very helpful with both of our children (3 and 6 years old) , calm and patient whilst measuring their feet and getting shoes for them to try on.Sadly we couldn't get any for my son as the ones he liked they didn't do in his size. But we managed to get a lovely pair of trainers for our daughter.

Bought a couple of pairs on impulse after looking in the window. Very helpful and accommodating staff. After purchasing and walking around town, I decided I preferred the size up. So back we went and got an exchange, no problem.Quite surprised with the range of footwear as on the face of it, looks like an upper class style of shop. Kids upstairs and plenty of seating.
