Sadly this place is truly a shocking nightmare (multiple police visits that staff have tried to hide reflect this). They will over charge and not return a term’s worth of rent, rodents and resident’s skin have peeled off from the sheer unhygienic state of the place and one of the residents a 60 year old ordained woman Maria is nothing short of a malicious racist that terrorised all POC especially Asians and presumably still does to this day. A shame of a place which advertise themselves as a ‘clean and quiet’ accommodation. Be smart and avoid at all costs

An excellent place to stay with lovely people who really care about you. I've lived in Coniston for nearly 5 years whilst studying in Manchester, and I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. I've met lots of really friendly people from all over the world, with plenty of exposure to different cultures and ideas. Everyone is very accommodating, the meals are good and varied, and there are even sometimes special cakes on birthdays. Love Coniston! ❤️

DO NOT COME HERE! WARNING ⚠️! Early curfew, unwilling to change. Cult like religion. Horrible food, tiny portions with small hairs inside. Shower hygiene absolutely atrocious. Despite the so called christian ethos and caring nature, it is very cliqué. And lastly, you have no lock on your door so expect no privacy. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE.

Always a pleasure to visit this residence looked after by Opus Dei. Friendly staff, accomodating and some lovely activities run for young people and university students.

Coniston is truly a home away from home.I lived in Coniston for the three years of my undergrad and I would live there again. The food is homemade and delicious, it is always clean and decorated with very good taste and the staff is the most professional and caring people I have met. However, the most important thing of coniston is the environment the staff creates to study, give back to the community and make friends. It is a great place to study, with several places dedicated to it. Secondly, Coniston encourages its residents to volunteer with several opportunities and to learn about new topics with get togethers and inviting guest speakers. Lastly, and most importantly, the residents become life long friends thanks to the great ambiance in the house.Thank you Coniston for being my home in Manchester!

A lovely place I was happy to call my home away from home while studying my engineering degree at UoM! Definitely one of the best halls in Manchester with the most caring people looking after it. I recommend staying here for students who want to expand their perspective in life while in university, living closely with fellow residents from so many different cultures and backgrounds. They also help you to grow a diligent study habit while always being there when you want to have a mental break. Good spaces for interaction that we residents helped to take care of like our own home - a huge garden for barbecues or volleyball or snowmen, a bright library, and a cosy living room. Most of all - you feel loved and looked after.
