Mr Boyle helped me with a condition I’ve been suffering with for nearly 2 years. After one consultation and test, he gave me a diagnosis I am confident with and a treatment plan. I referred myself to Mr Boyle for advice as a scan whilst investigating another medical issue had revealed I had gallstones. He was very informative with a calm manner and following further investigations recommended I had my gallbladder removed. Mr Boyle removed the small organ by laparoscopic surgery and I experienced a quick recovery to normal activities.

I want to say a big thank you to Nick Boyle and his superb team for the fantastic pre- and post-op support I received. Between them all, they turned a worrying time for me into a smooth, stress-free experience.I was referred to Mr Boyle by another surgeon to investigate gallbladder/gallstones issues. His investigations were carried out quickly and efficiently within a week of the first contact, providing me with much-needed and much-appreciated reassurance.The surgery itself went well (Spire, Tunbridge Wells) – again, all the staff there were wonderful, and I was home by 5pm.The four small incisions where I had the laparoscopic surgery had already started to heal by the end of the first week. The scars (if you can even call them that) are so very tiny, they can hardly be seen. I am now six-weeks post-op and feel absolutely fantastic.I don’t think I could have been, literally, in better hands.Thank you again for taking such good care of me – and giving me back my joy of eating!

I recently had surgery on a groin hernia. Mr Boyle was my consultant and surgeon, he was extremely professional, he accommodated me at very short notice to do my operation. Mr Boyle was always reassuring. Post operation I have recovered very well under Mr Boyle’s supervision.

I have been under Mr Boyles care for a number of months. He has been thorough in my investigations and has explained all treatment plans that are on offer. I have felt that the care received has been outstanding, and am happy that my treatment advice was not to operate. He has been transparent with all options and if I encounter a deterioration in my condition over time I would look to be back under his care once again.

At the age of 78 I developed a left-side inguinal hernia which I thought would replicate the right-side one I had repaired five years earlier. That proved not to be the case because the new one became occasionally very painful. Unfortunately, the NHS wait for a repair would have been several months so I opted to follow the private route. Mr Boyle was my saviour; everything was explained in easily understood detail from start to finish and the outcome has been a great success. Needless to say, I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Boyle to other prospective patients.

I cannot thank Mr Boyle enough for what he has done for me.After suffering in excess of 20 year's with acute acid reflux and being passed around from pillar to post with other Gastroenterologists and having taken every type of medication Mr Boyle was very thorough in finding out the cause of why medication wasn't working.6 weeks ago I underwent Link procedure to resolve hiatal defect and hiatus repair. It was done laprascopically on the Friday and returned to my desk based job the following Monday.Following the surgery I was able to lay flat which had never been possible due to acid refluxing into the throat and down the nasal passages.The first 2 weeks was a learning curve for eating and drinking differently and weeks 3-4 is where the healing started taking place around the Linx implant.Now at 6 weeks no swallowing difficulties and able to eat as normal, just at a slower pace to reduce chance of regurgitation.Mr Boyle is highly skilled and will not fob you off and highly recommended.

In 2017, I visited Nick due to the appearance of a rather large and sudden epigastric hernia. After a thorough examination, he found three more hernias: two inguinal and one umbilical.During our discussions for possible treatments, Nick noticed that I was periodically coughing and clearing my throat and enquired as to how long I had been coughing, to which I replied since around 2009, around the same time that I developed acid reflux. Nick pointed out that this could be an indication of GORD, and following several investigative procedures, I was diagnosed with a type II hiatus hernia.Nick performed laparoscopic surgery to correct my epigastric and umbilical hernias, both of which went smoothly and without any issues, and I began a course of PPIs that helped keep my reflux in check most of the time whilst I decided upon further surgery or not.By 2023, the minor inguinal hernias, previously detected, had enlarged, and one was causing me concern. I revisited Nick, who advised that both hernias required surgery and that to address my hiatus hernia, more tests, including another gastroscopy, the fitting of a BRAVO capsule, and a CT-scan were needed. When completed, Nick informed me that my hiatus had become more serious, with it now being a type III with gastric organoaxial volvulus, with the danger of my stomach becoming twisted.Laparoscopic surgery was performed earlier in the year on the two inguinal hernias, and once fully recovered, a date was set for corrective surgery for my hiatus hernia, again laparoscopic and concluding with a Watson fundoplication. Before the surgery, however, I was required to lose weight to be at my correct BMI, which meant sheading 25kgs over four months. Nick assisted in this with the prescription of Semaglutide, and I successfully shed the necessary weight and went ahead with the surgery as agreed.I have recovered very quickly from the surgery, have regained full health and fitness, and have stopped taking the PPIs. I have to say that I have no intention of returning to my old weight or poor eating habits and look forward to a better standard of life thanks to Nick’s work, care and advice.I would highly recommend Nick for his integrity, honesty and straight talking. From a patient's perspective, his laparoscopic surgical skills are perfect, with recovery times being very short and only very minimal soreness, scarring or bruising.Thank you, Nick, for taking such great care of me.
