Tranquil and peaceful in a great location on cannock chase, lots of other things to do in area, walks, visitor centres, bike riding. If you drive past this cemetery you will come to the very large German one! Both have car parks right next to them. German one has toilets inside

A lovely tranquil place. Also a great location to walk in and around. Lies at the head of the beautiful Sherbrook valley...Trails for everyone including bikers & horse riders very near to the cemetery. Valley great for younger kids on bikes as slightly downhill. Photo taken just outside on path down to Sherbrook Valley.

These photographs are from the2018 Anzac Day Memorial Service. The cemetery has both New Zealand and German soldiers from WWI resting here and all are equally well taken care of.

Glad we came here for a visit and walk about to see the war graves from both sides and then took a walk round the german cemetery further down the road. Both kept immaculate.

Our first visit here, having only just found out about it. Although a Cemetery, it is very impressive. Having been to the Cemeteries in Normandy (WWII) and those in Northern France (WWII), this is as impressive. Only 15 miles from the National Memorial Arboretum near to Alrewas. Definitely worth visiting both places when in the area. Met some of the Staff of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission who are doing a great job.

The War Cemetery faces Camp Road and is separate from the German War Cemetery which is down the lane behind it. This is a well care for cemetery in which there are 379 burials. There is an accessible information board and a rather old and weathered book of remembrance in a closed alcove in the gate. Many of the burials here are men who died at the nearby New Zealand Rifle Brigade military camp or at the local prisoner of war hospital.
