CREST GLAZING LTD

We bought our first house 2 years ago. Unfortunately, there were old single glazed windows. We were looking for a company that would sell us good quality windows. Huge price range on the market! So many reviews (good and bad). Finally We chose Steve Murdoch company Crest Glazing Ltd. And it was the best choice! I worked as a joiner for over 9 years. So I can easy say what is good quality and what poor :) After a year of use (especially the winter season) I can only say one thing: WE COULDN'T CHOOSE BETTER!!! Our house is quiet and warm. Surprising acoustic and thermal insulation. VEKA profiles! Warm black frame! Fantastic hinges. We highly recommend it from bottom of the heart ❤️

Door lock failed on external upvc back door, originally installed with replacement windows by Crest some years ago.. Phoned Crest on Friday, woman said she would phone me back on Monday with a date for engineer visit.No Monday callback so phoned again on Wednesday morning . Again promised a call back in the afternoon. Surprise surprise, no callback. Phoned Lumsden Security on Thursday morning. Engineer arrived after lunch and replaced the door's gearbox. Full marks to Lumsdens.If Crest didn't want the work, then tell me there and then, don't string me along for almost a week. Little jobs can lead to big jobs. Guess who won't get my next big glazing job!

Very happy with the work carried out fitting a new door , Brian came a few times to help us choosing the right door for our house very competitive on price, and Dave and Gary were friendly and helpful during the fitting . Office staff on the ball " very helpful. Would recommend without doubt. Would definitely use again"

Crest Glazing have now done glazing of full house, including doors, for three different homes we have lived in. Each time they have come out to do a survey at the house, discuss our needs, suggest ideas of possible opening differences - bottom openers/tilt and turn/top openers, shown us samples of e.g. different colours available then submitted a quote. When we have gone ahead, the windows have been ordered, date arranged for fitting, fitted by competent, professional glazers using extreme care and vigilance in the time agreed. The follow up by David and his team has always been second to none! They will adjust e.g. doors as they settle" and we have always had a quality job and a competitive price. We continually recommend friends and family to use this wonderful local firm and have no hesitation in continuing to use Crest Glazing. They are simply superb! First Class."

Promised to come back with part, except theybnever did. Clearly got paid then decided to run. All 3 windows that they were supposed to fix were left worse than they were. One window especially doesn't have a working handle meaning it can blow open in the wind. They even tried stealing handle from communal area because, they didn't have the part. They left a mess and decided not to come back for the window. I stay in a high rise, so with recent weather this has been a nightmare. I've attached a picture to show what I've had to resort to in order to keep the window closed.With another window, they didn't know how to fix it. The windows security latch stopped working so it could swing open widely very quickly. They added another security latch instead of replacing old one. Not the worst thing, but with everything else added, it's a bit ridiculous.Lastly, my bedroom window was stuck open. Now the window is stuck closed because once again they didn't know how to fix it. I will not ask this company to come back, as I would rather not have further damage to the windows.In short, 0/3 windows fixed and were all left in worse condition...AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Crest supplied and fitted a small custom glass balustrade at our front door steps. Excellent service from start to finish. Great support from their sales and manufacturing departments and questions always answered quickly and to our satisfaction. Top quality products and service. Couldn't ask for more - first class.

We had an upstairs window that wouldn’t lock so I called the original installer who sent a man to give an estimate for repair. He looked, said it would need scaffolding and therefore cost around £2000 and take two days , one to scaffold and one to repair. He suggested a local company might be cheaper so I called Crest on a Wednesday. They arrived on the following Monday, diagnosed the problem, removed the broken part and replaced it and were paid all within a half hour.Excellent service, I have no hesitation in recommending Crest. Prompt, polite, able to do the job so exactly what I needed.

I have no idea what that other google review is about. I had absolutely no issues with Crest during the installation of my new windows. They were fitted very quickly by friendly staff and they replaced a cracked unit f.o.c because it happened during installation. They were recommended to me by friends and I would gladly recommend them to anyone else looking for a glazing company. Fair price and they had it finished within 2 weeks after initial deposit.

Came round to look at broken mechanism in window. Measured and quoted £490.80 to repair or replace. Called another company who came round with tools and fixed it there and then in around 30 mins for £80. No idea whether they're just not interested or just exorbitantly priced but just shows you how important it is to get more than one quote. This job might not have been worth their while, hence the quote but they shoot themselves in the foot for future business or recommendations.
