Be wary of fake positive reviews! Accounts that have only 1 review or 2 reviews are questionable! Pretty sure this company is trying to crawl out of a hole they've gotten themselves into! Tons of bad reviews have disappeared - strange. Here is my original review on TrustPilot that they managed to get deleted:I feel absolutely DUPED. Robbed of my money. What a JOKE of a company.GO ASSIST ARE NOT a REPAIR COMPANY. They front as if they are, but they are an INSURANCE COMPANY that act as MIDDLE-MEN to 3rd party repair services.I wanted to avoid paying £300 for a local repair service to replace a part in my washer/dryer, so I decided to look online and found Go Assist. They told me over the phone that it would cost me only £160 for my washer/dryer repair if I signed up for a warranty that requires an annual payment of £102 to cover my washer-dryer, which they said I could cancel at a later date after 1 year. They told me the £160 payment covers up to £250 labor + parts.I MADE SURE to tell the representative over the phone that I KNEW what part needed to be replaced, I MADE SURE to mention I was looking for a cheaper alternative as I was quoted £300+, and I MADE SURE to ask the representative if the replacement part + labor will exceed £250, he said absolutely not as he was looking up the replacement parts online and said they don't go above £120. So, I signed up.TWO BLOODY WEEKS LATER is when they were able to send a technician to my house to diagnose the issue themselves, so they can book in a date for actual repair. For 45 minutes I had to sit with the technician while he called Go Assist because, get this... He had no idea who Go Assist were and how payment was going to be covered. I asked him if he could please follow up in his own time and he told me he couldn't because he didn't know how to get paid, so we both went back and forth on his phone speaking to Go Assist. It was just a complete joke. He then charged me £170 on top of the £262 I had already paid to Go Assist, so now in total I have paid £432 and my washer dryer is still broken, because the earliest they could send me a technician for the repair is next Wednesday. It has taken a total of ONE MONTH since calling Go Assist, spending £432, and my WASHER DRYER IS STILL BROKEN.What. A. JOKE. I got robbed!Avoid at all costs.**Google Staff: I can provide all information you need to prove the fact I was a real customer**

Tried to get a service call repair but they were saying that I could be liable for the service repair . I immediately cancelled the direct debit which they have benefited from it and not me. I paid them over £100 for repairs plus insurance premiums over six months @£9.95 and they got the cheek to ask for more. I will report them to the proper authorities . On top of that I paid for a new cover which I cancelled within an hour. They took my money of £18.44 and now won’t refund it. Now they want £50.44 for god knows what which they are taking legal action. Can u trust such a company to do your repairs. Keep away from this company

Please be aware of this company. I was charged £69 for a call out then £210 for a basic repair y his was not explained at the time. They charging me £7 insurance which they said I could to use and could not cancel unless a cancelled. After research it would have been cheaper to buy a new hob and get it repaired. These people will push you for money.

Yesterday I booked our washing machine in to be fixed in our lovely tenants flat . As it was making a loud noise when spinning. I spoke to Michael who was helpful and explained it was highly likely to be the drum or bearings which needed replacing.Michael informed me the cost of an engineer was £130 for the call out and for labour, on all or any part that needed fitting. He said the engineer would call when on site to tell me the cost of parts. I was even asked if I would be available to pay for the materials required there and then on the phone. Micheal strongly implied this would be the case and it would be fixed by the engineer on site that day.My tenant called me today to say the engineer was round and that the machine wasn’t worth fixing. I spoke to the engineer myself who said the drum needed replacing and a pipe. I was led to believe by Michael if it was the drum, then it was worth fixing, which is why I went ahead in the first place. The engineer was there for five minutes. He looked at the washing machine without even pulling it out.The engineer sounded like he did not want to be there and was quite obnoxious to the tenant and to me when I spoke to him. This is Not the service I expected. I was made to feel like I’d wasted his time!A dishonest service. Not even a partial refund offered despite the misinformation.

Do not use this company. Extortionate pricing for parts (£70 for a part that was £8 online and our engineer said he could get for £5). They scam you into signing up for monthly insurance of £7.95 that has a £50 cancellation fee buried in the T&Cs if you cancel before a year. Complete scam.

My advice do not use this company they take your money over the phone and they do not provide the service. Trust me. I had really bad experience with them go somewhere else. year later, they tried to take the money from my account without my concert. I was so lucky the bank didn’t let them do that. When I called them. They said your membership is due for renewal and I told them I did cancel my membership from the day one so be careful guys. They are really really fraud don’t give your details to them because you will not have it back trust me

Absolutely terrible. Save your money and do not contract this company. I booked a repair for a Cooke and Lewis cooking hood. After not showing up for 2 of the appointments on time, an engineer showed up - did not touch the extractor and said just buy a new one mate. I wouldnt even know how to fix it" The £99 appointment lasted a grand total of 1 minute and he walked out. The sales staff said all engineers are "trained". Oh they will happily claim they are "not regulated" and outside of the scope of the Ombudsman

Avoid go assist like the plague. This company promises a one off fee. They do not fix your appliance on the day. They lie and say they haven’t got the part. Then re contact you and say that this part is “special” and they’ll need to charge you a further 90 quid. And then when you explain that they promise a one off charge they lie through their teeth why this is ok. And finally when you have zero trust left in them. They’ll charge you another 50 quid to cancel your policy. Con artists.
