There is a simple donation box for parking fees. The donation go towards maintaining the area.

Lovely easy track out of the carpark, where you can go for miles. Suitable for pushchairs etc. Beautiful views. But whatever you do, don't go to Birks big house and try and get on the footpath down to the other bridge over the river - it's very steep, very slippery and pretty scary in parts.
