The Sound Machine
The store is shut for a week. When I walked in, the owner bit my head off. Not all of us have FaceBook. Don't shout at me, I'm in my 40's. Very disappointed all round. I have emailed you as requested 07/08/23.

A fabulous treasure trove, came here about 8 years ago! Came today and It’s still just as fab and all LPs are in good condition and good price, plus a lot of Cassettes too! Also to say that the staff are very friendly and that I'm happy with my purchases too!! Thanks

A real treasure trove for almost all music genres. I’ve stocked up on a range of excellent CDs and vinyl, namely metal and rock, but there have been many other top finds that have padded out my music collection. The guys are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, with a true passion for music - always good chat. The shop is well organised despite its expansive range. A must in the iconic Harris Arcade and visiting it makes my day!

Have known of and been a regular customer of The Sound Machine for many years now. Always an ever changing array of beautiful condition records at very reasonable prices. Staff are friendly and very knowledgeable.

I'm so glad shops such as The Sound Machine still exist.I only popped in for a look and walked having spent £80Keep these shops alive. The Sound Machine is located in a lovely old shopping arcade called Harris Arcade in Reading towards the train station.

Only music shop I’ve been to that has a sizeable collection of cassettes! Very rare find, in my experience. Shop gets cramped very easily but has an absolutely top-tier collection.

The Sound Machine is the bestest place to look for vinyl! Comprehensive stock catering for all genres, and sensibly priced. I've bought some properly good pieces from this store and l look forward to my next visit, probably this weekend. To the reviewer who gave 1 star you were in the wrong store! You were in the nail salon next door!

Generally a very good selection of second-hand CDs including rareties at a good price. Usually worth exploring when in Reading. I am not bothered about vinyl but plenty there too and they once gave me a very good price for an album I had no idea was worth that much.
