The new telephone service is ridiculous. I've been coming for years. Never had such difficulty getting a phonecall beforehand. sorry can't complete your call" and then it just ends. I start work at 7am I havent got time to mess about with system that doesn't work well."

I am trying to access STI diagnosis since several days (even weeks) and I can't because of all this wonderful phone call system, since I am a foreigner and I don't have a UK number, which is mandatory for their great system. I just need help to get tested! So at the end I had unsafe activities/practices, I might have an infection but I cannot make a diagnosis easily. That's the easy way to spread disease, good job NHS. By the way I am working here and pay my NI taxes. Good to see that I cannot even access the health system..

I called today and instead of booking the appointment(it’s not urgent I just need appointment that need to be face to face) but that is not possible I did it just in October and everything was fine and now I have to call back in yen morning? Who come up with this stupid system.

Must have called dozens of times and have never got through to anyone. The automated message tells me to call the number that I'm already calling, or says telephone appointments are full for the day (I don't want a telephone appointment, I'm trying to book an in-person one). A lot of excuses about why the telephone service isn't working... in that case why not add the ability to leave a message / email etc to get in contact? I eventually gave up and travelled to Dorset to get contraception and at this rate I'll have to do the same to get it removed

When you call to book an appointment an automated message says this number isn't answered and instead to try calling the same number you are already calling!

Terrible service. Phoned 2 days in a row on my lunch break to be told by an automated message that all telephone appointments are booked for today. I didn’t even want an appointment on the same day. Got through to general health who told me to ring back tomorrow when they open at 9:15. I can’t ring up at 9:15 as I’m at work. Even if I did manage to get through to someone, I was told they are not open on Saturdays. I work full time so wouldn’t be able to attend Monday-Friday. When/how are full time workers supposed to get tested? Are we meant to use our annual leave to take time off work to get tested?

I booked online and got an appointment the next day. Fantastic service, everyone was lovely!
