Flori Bakery

I did come here a while ago but I can’t imagine that their amazing pastries could have changed that much ! I found them on Instagram and their cute pastries looked like something I needed. This place is so cute and taste so crunchy and crispy.

Unfriendly, rude, elitist staff. Yes, the pastries are delicious, though expensive. Sadly, I won’t be going back. I had already had a bad experience once when complaining really politely about a kid touching all the pastries on display while posh mummy chatted happily with member of staff (food hygiene???). Today I get this member of staff that looks at me like she could not be bothered to serve me, put food in a bag (she did not ask if I wanted one) and when I said, politely again, that I already had a bag, she stares at me says, really rudely, “you can take it out yourself and put it in your bag”, turns her back on me, not a “thank you for your custom” to be heard. Perhaps she thinks she is too good for a shop assistant, perhaps I don’t look posh enough or look ‘too” foreign. There are plenty more bakeries in York where they always greet you with a genuine smile no matter what you look like, no need to go back to this one.

Quite frankly, anyone reviewing Flori with anything short of 5* - are losing themselves. This bakery is incredible. The pastries are to die for. Without a doubt the best I’ve ever had! Couldn’t recommend more.

Such a cute little spot! Got a caramel latte and chocolate-almond pastry and it was to die for. Hands down the best coffee I’ve had and I can’t wait to be back.

BEST BAKERY EVER!! Not only incredible pastries and coffees, but the staff are amazing. They are all super friendly and always brighten our day. We have not found pastries better, anywhere!

This is an amazing bakery with the best pastries I have *ever* had. They are huge, beautifully made and with varied and delicious fillings. I'm sure they sell out quickly each day because of this so get up and over there because you won't regret it!

This is the type of innovation I look for in a bakery- a blend of traditional and creativity. You got your staple croissants, pain au chocolate, ham n cheese, etc but then a cardamom bun?! Maple and bacon?! Mushroom and lentil?! Apple jam, cinnamon custard, and almonds! This place raised the bar for bakery goods everywhere! I can only hope to find a place like this in my home city.
