I had ordered fish and chips last night and I have been sick all night with vomiting and tummy ach. This place needs to be checked by local authority urgently.

No respect, no hygiene from what I saw. The food seems to old or died years ago.. always fast too take your money. This (branch) shop needs an inspection!

The wings taste old and gone off and the chips are fine but do not go to this places it's horrible cash only and the guy owner was miserable.

Tried this place for few times and it’s not the best but acceptable …For sure their hygiene not good at all it doesn’t look like it’s been taken care off that much ..wings and chicken are okay not great sometimes hot sometime soggyFish and chips including normalAnd their masala fish are descent but very basic and over priced for £10 .There is a guy always there and his hygiene and appearance doesn’t look welcoming although it seems like a family business and they are trying their best !Not bad

The fish and chips were cooked fresh, and it was very tasty and delicious to eat.The chicken and chips and the burgers I have purchased from here were also very delicious and tasty.The staff are so friendly, and they deliver the food with a smile.The shop is very nice and clean, tidy and stocked up with cutlery and sauces.Would love to see more salad options as I love salads.Exceptional customer service experience receivedThe food is always presented nicely and every visit I have been so happy with the food and level of customer service.Today 29th Oct 2023 is my last visit.

The best Masala fish ever had, really tasty and delicious. This restaurant is quite spacious also busy place. Their staff is also welcoming. I would gladly recommend this place for their best food and high quality service

Ordered a takeaway of chicken burgers, chips and cheese bites.The burger buns were dry and rubbery so didn’t enjoy the burger at all.The chips tasted like it was cooked in an oil that had been used many many times before.The cheese bites were actually nice except they too were fried in old oilNot happy with the food and unlikely to order again anytime soon!

I've been visiting Mr Cod on high street for a long time. The food is amazing and their chips are thick-cut but soft (like the ones you get by the seaside). There is one staff member who is usually behind the counter, he is always polite and pleasant. We once even forgot some shopping at the place and they kept it safe and got it back to us. Run by good people mashallah, also you must try the wings and chips, hands down my favourite.
