Simon’s ‘sensory’ walk over Wye Downs was enlightening. The fabulous views combined with Simon’s extensive knowledge of the area and nature made for a fascinating day out. We were really encouraged to be aware of our five basic senses throughout the entirety of the walk. I learned lots, enjoyed meeting new people and came away feeling very much more aware of my surroundings as well as extremely relaxed. I am always very conscious of views, colours and nature during my varied walks but they all seemed more important on this occasion as we gave everything we came across so much thought. Thanks also go to Sunrise Sunset Foods for the amazing picnic lunch!

Had the privilege of joining for a 'View Over the Wall' experience at Dode Church/ the Lost Village of Dode.Simon provided a guided walk that was inspirational and educational walk through five miles of some of Kent's finest countryside.Simon shared his knowledge of not only nature and what's around us, but also a deeper level of who we are, where we are and where we came from. The experience was at a pace all could follow - physically and mentally.A wonderful day with a great packed lunch included!Recommend for all ages and fitness levels.I will be going again.

Running my own business, I never have the chance to switch off, during the working day I am always connected to my phone or my laptop, come the evening, Netflix becomes an addiction. Into the weekend, I frequent restaurants or bars and get caught up in the hustle of socialising and connecting with friends & family. I was brought up in the countryside and feel I know that we live in a beautiful world, I walk the dog and my own office is set in acres of countryside.Simon Pollard at Simple Life warmly welcomed us along with Luca at The Hare & Hounds Northborne, we were told to bring walking shoes and potentially a raincoat for the great British weather. Simon’s immediately filled us with wise words about connecting with nature, the plants, the animals, the smells & encouraged us to switch off our phones and our thoughts from everything and concentrate on the now. It’s something I never really thought about before, I am always thinking about something I did the other day, or what I want to do in the future, but how often are we really thinking about what is happening that actual moment, what are you smelling, what are you feeling, what are you hearing and what can you taste?Simon took us on a walk around the Northborne countryside, we felt different trees and Simon taught us about why each tree has the different textures it does, we smelt the difference between being out in the open and smelt the dampness of being inside the hedge rows. We learnt about why the hedgerows exist, we experienced buzzards and robins up close. The finale, was a 10minute silence sat at the foot of the most amazing tree, something that I thought I would get bored of and I had done many a time, however what was different - Simon encouraged us to be completely still, we kept our phones away and we didn’t talk, something I had never done. What then ensued, was something that I can only compare to the film Avatar. Due to our silence, squirrels played together like in a school playground all around us, a variety of birds chirped right into our ears and you felt the energy of the tree roots right beneath us. I had sat at the foot of a tree ‘experiencing nature’ so many times before, however with Simons tuition, it was something else.Come Monday morning, and back to reality, I feel a new sense of appreciation for what is around us and look forward to our next Five Senses experience with Simon.

Enjoyable walk with Simon Pollard in Dover. Lots of wild garlic, beautiful trees and stunning views towards Dover Castle. Simon encouraged us to connect with nature through our five senses. I left feeling calmer, more grounded, and a smile! Thank you Simon

A walk with Simon isn't just a walk. He guides you in appreciating the natural world around you, encouraging you to use all your senses to take in your surroundings, has lots of knowledge of the plants and animals you might encounter, and goes to some really interesting places like Dode and Oxney Bottom. Simon believes that we could all benefit from being more at one with nature. Whether you share his spiritual beliefs or not, anyone would benefit physically, mentally, and, yes, spiritually from going on one of his walks.

The walk was brilliant. To have a guided walk of our beautiful countryside with an expert, interesting explanation enabled me to see and experience the natural beauty of an area in a way I hadn’t before. Highly recommend!

5 Senses Walk from Lost Village of Dode =I signed up to one of the 5 Senses walks that Simon Pollard runs, I was extremely anxious about going as I was going by myself and being a sufferer of depression sometimes that is the hardest thing to do, but I am ecstatic that I took that step and went along. What an amazing experience, I finally felt that after having my head in a fog for months that I could finally breathe again and see the beautiful countryside around me. Simon has an excellent way of explaining things and making you see things in such a simple way. I learnt so much. Everyone should stop and take time to stop and take in the surroundings and not be so materialistic. If everyone in the world did one of these walks the world would be a much nicer place to live. For me it was like an epiphany. If I could bottle it I would be set for life, so I did the next best thing and bought Simon's books that he had written, in the hopes that everything we talked about today I could be reminded of and help carry me through some of the dark times. I will definitely be going on another 5 senses walk in the future. Thank you Simon. Lunch was also provided which was an absolute taste sensation, thank you to 'Sunrise Sunset Foods' for an exceptional feast.

Thoroughly enjoyed our walk in the country. Simon's knowledge about the world around us added to the morning. I even found myself hugging a tree. Culminating in a most enjoyable lunch. Great value and fully recommended.
