Over the years I have purchased well over 100 cars and I found John and Chris an absolute pleasure to deal with. The car I purchased , a Mercedes SL400 was immaculate as described and the showroom is an absolute “Aladdin’s Cave” of wonderful specimens.! I would have no hesitation in recommending Mole Valley to anybody looking to buy a quality car from a quality dealership

This is more of a warning for if you're interested in purchasing a car from here which is not one of their top end vehicles.My husband and I purchased a 2006 Boxter for £16k and while taking a look, it was noted that the convertible roof did not reattach properly. It was spilling over the side and going up wonky (if that makes any sense).It was agreed that this would be repaired at a later date as the mechanic was unavailable. My husband had to chase the owner after two/ three weeks to get booked in and after two visits it still wasn't repaired, if anything- them trying to force the roof in made it worse.The issue ended up being a broken strap so the roof was retracting and escalating on one. Something that was diagnosed and repaired within minutes at a local Porsche specialist.It was also discovered after a little while that a sizable amount of water was getting into the car every time it rained or was washed, soaking the doors and floors. This turned out to be a seal which was long failed- with foam disintegrating and electronics compromised.After 4 months the gear linkage broke leaving us stranded in the middle of London.Whilst just got on with things at first, that was the last straw and my husband contacted the owner to see if they would be willing to look into any of these issues- he couldn't care less.Granted I wouldn't expect that the dealer could know about the gear linkage, but the other issues...I'm not so sure.All in all it has cost over £2k to get repaired and some areas are still being investigated- not what I expect after 6months.My very long story short is that the dealer doesn't care once the transaction has completed, something which you would expect from a 'del boy' style trader, but not someone who seems to have built their reputation on selling top class used cars.I would imagine you'd get a better service if you were buying one of their higher end cars, but just be mindful if something catches your eyes below £20k.

Bought a car for 15k. Had to spend nearly 2k repairing it 5 months after. Dealer couldn't care less once they have your money.

Initially stoped off at Mole Valley to browse there interesting array of cars. Had no fixed agenda, but was very impressed with Johns wealth of knowledge regarding all his cars. The next 12 hours were spent researching the Aston Martin Vantage and after a call to John arranged a Test drive the deal was done. John ensured everything was done to the car prior to the Purchase, including new brake pads, service, MOT even the discs were cleaned. I could not be more happy with the car and the after sales service.I would have no hesitation in recommending Mole Vally Specialist Cars.

I had been looking for an soft top Mustang for some time and had a dismal experience in my home town of Edinburgh, so was delighted to see the perfect car for sale- even though it was the other end of the country! The initial video was excellent quality and I was assured that if I did not want to proceed when I saw the car that would be fine. John went above and beyond, arranged the protective paint, organised the tracker and did an MOT which was not urgent, plus we collected it on a Sunday. The best car buying experience I have ever had and I love, love, love my Mustang. Would use them again. Thank you Jennie

Honest Review - Please take the time to readI went to look at the 2007 Cayman S for £18,995 and was up-front from the outset that if the car had bore score, I would not proceed with the purchase.After a cup of coffee, he took me for a test drive and then allowed me to take the wheel where the brakes were not great and which he said was down to, “Not going through the windscreen if you brake.”John said that if there was any bore score I could, in his words, “Just walk away.” Perfect I said. So I put a £500 deposit down to reserve the car (which was never put as reserved on the website) and he called Mortimers in Billingshurst to arrange a bore scope that same day.He called me the following day to call Matt Gooda from Mortimers to confirm the car was fine. Matt said there was minimal bore score but he could recommend the car and would be happy to sell it as he’s been in the business for 13 years.I then asked for the pictures from the Bore Scope which he said he would email me. I wanted to do this to get a second opinion from Hartech who said they were more than happy to give me their thoughts on the photos. The photos were never sent (which made me doubt if a bore scope was ever done).The next day, John was trying to hurry the sale along offering to make up my private plates and get the finance done. He skipped over the bore score issue saying that, “All cars have bore scoring.”A car with bore scoring = a £10,000 engine rebuild and with the lack of photos and the hurrying along of the sale, I asked for my refund back, as I did not feel comfortable purchasing due to this fact.He accused me of wasting his time and hung up very rudely in an aggressive manner. I had to call twice and then email to finally get my deposit back.I had every intention of buying the car but we agreed that if the car had bore score I would walk away.In summary, I’m sure John is very lovely when purchasing, but not so if you change your mind due to legitimate concerns. A simple bore scope, with evidence of the results, would put future buyers at ease, and I feel sorry for those customers that aren’t aware of what bore score is and who might purchase being none the wiser.

Purchased my car from John at Mole Valley two months ago. I am 100% happy with my car and would have no problem returning to buy another car in the future.

My dad has wanted to own a Morgan for many years and after much searching we bought a 4/4 from John in June. We visited Mole Valley Autos on several occasions and John is super knowledgeable and helpful. He patiently answered all of our questions and is genuinely passionate about his cars. The car was serviced, and polished for collection and his help with a specialist broker saved us some money on the insurance costs. Can't fault the buying experience and we've had a blast with the car so far!

First class service with selling my Griffith from John and his team. They collected the car from me, presented it beautifully and then dealt with all the detailed enquires (which included at one stage, removing the starter motor to check that the engine was matching number). If you want to avoid all the time and effort of dealing with test pilots, dreamers and time wasters, let Mole Valley Specialist Cars deal with everything in a most professional and competently. Yes there is a fee to pay, but Mole Valley will achieve a higher price, so from my point of view, the cost was very low indeed.

Highly recommend buying a car from Mole Valley Specialist Car. John has been amazing, very friendly, informative and helpful. Made to feel at ease when out on a test drive.
