The food here is wonderful, brilliant for any foodie! They serve traditional Sardinian food which is a cuisine I have never tried before. The food is really cooked from the heart and feels authentic like you are actually in Sardinia. I went for the octapus and pigs ears for starters, both were very delicious. For mains we tried the traditional Sardinia pearls with seafood, the sausage pasta and the quails. Food was beautifully presented and although it took long to make, it was well worth the wait. Our waitress was very accommodating and made sure to meet our dietary requirements and omit certain things in our desired meals. The portions are huge so don't over order! They also have a lovely shop that sells authentic Sardinian produce like pasta and sauces. We will definitely be coming back for another wonderful Sardinian experience!

What an amazing experience we had here. We asked the owner/cook to suprise us off menu and came up with beautyfull dishes. Service was spot-on, interactive owner/cook and a wonderfull waiteress. If you ever visit Sheffield try Akentannos! Thank me later!

Very highly recommend everything about this little gem of a place. Would definitely go out of my way to visit again.Only reason for the 4 for the food is that entrees seemed to be more for people who want an entree, than for being stand out dishes on their own. Which is nice if you're wanting a starter and they need to be there for that and they were good. It's just the mains* we had were so good, that we felt the entrees - though good - disappointed in comparison.So yes, it's the mains and especially the traditional ones that really are the highlight - and the nice simple salad, might look simple but is perfect for the robust flavours of the mains. And reminded me of the salads of the Mediterranean, designed to sit nicely beside the big flavours of the cooked dishes.This is a place that is definitely on our list to return to - and we don't live anywhere near Sheffield.* Malloreddus con Sugo di AgnelloTraditional Sardinian, shell-shaped pasta served with delicioussauce made with fillet of lamb, tomato sauce, little chilli andfennel seeds. Topped with sardinian pecorino cheese shavings.Pane FrattauPane Frattau is a typical dish and traditional Sardinianbased on layers of Sardinian bread “pane carasau”, softenedusing meat broth, served with lamb sauce and pecorino cheese.Topped with free range poached egg. (I appreciated the option to be vegetarian and am keen to try that next time but wanted to try the traditional version this time)As a final note: they have a vegan menu that actually looks well thought through that I'd like to try, as I usually really appreciate the option not to eat meat and diary and to have a variety of options. But as this was our first time, I wanted to try the traditional versions first.

The starter and mains were nice but the restaurant was let down by the desserts and the service..The restaurant was cold and whilst eating our desserts we were told that there was a time limit on our table of 2 hours.... We were hurried to eat our desserts and then at one point told to leave....We left and then we checked our online booking there was zero mention of a 2 hour window either in our confirmation email or on their website....We will never return just based on this.... When they realised we were nearly finished they clearly wanted to get the next lot in who were waiting... There was plenty of empty tables and they could have even pushed two together.... I wouldn't recommend it at all based on my experience.

Delicious authentic Sardinian food, amazing service & staff there - so kind and attentive. It was my mum's 60th birthday and they were so accommodating and wonderful, even though we were late leaving the restaurant after it had closed, they never rushed us. The food was incredible - I can't wait to come back!

The food took longer to arrive than I might have hoped however it was delicious when it arrived. So it was definitely worth the wait. A real welcoming and friendly atmosphere within as well. Really enjoyed our dinner.

Lovely food and atmosphere and table service.However was moved to a new table and was made to feel rushed out the restaurant.No consideration was given by the manager which we felt was very inconsiderate.

I've been to a lot of restaurants in Sheffield, and a lot of Italian restaurants all over. This is the best.It's a really simple review. Go here.The food is absolutely exceptional, staff friendly, down to earth, and attentive. 10/10.We had three courses each, and every single course for every single person (9 different dishes) were just as good as each other.

Always an amazing meal and fantastic atmosphere! All the staff are brilliant and Mario gets the flavours just right! Catered for 14 hungry people perfectly!
