Excellent customer service and price. Can't be beaten for range and flexibility. I needed 2 X 1200mm pieces of kitchen bench. They had loads in stock and cut it exactly for me. Took 10 minutes from walking through the door. Can't recommend enough.

Husband decided midweek he wanted to build a shed at the weekend. He rang up and found it super easy to have it delivered on the Saturday and ordered over the phone. The delivery came early and the man was very cheerful. While my husband built the shed he kept saying good quality wood this" and the shed has been standing for three days now so that's a thumbs up from me. We're slowly doing up our house and will definitely buy from here again!"

A wide range of timber and helpful staff. I can't comment on the fittings etc as we didn't spend much time looking at those.They are happy to cut wood to size, but on this occasion one of their saws was in need of repair, we'll come back to buy at a later date, once we know our measurements.

Great service from 2 of the 3 people I dealt with.First guy quoted me £85 for the wood I needed which was cheaper than anywhere else so on that basis I agreed to have it cut.Second person was friendly enough and more than happy to cut the wood to the desired length for me.Then when I went to pay, the last person decided to charge me £92 instead of the original £85 I was quoted 10 minutes earlier by his colleague. I tried to explain that I had been quoted £85 but he wasn't having it and unfortunately the person who quoted me first wasn't around to back me up. No matter how much I told him I had already been told £85 which was the only reason I decided to go ahead with it (because I could have gotten it closer to home for £94 anyway) he wasn't listening and just pretty much kept ignoring me and saying it was £92.I know it's only £7 and I'm not going to lose any sleep over it, but it's more so the principle than anything else. If you get told a price you expect to pay that price.

Used them in the past without a problem, today called and asked for a price on scaffold boards was quoted £36 + vat which was outrageous. When I said they were miles them cheaper elsewhere the price immediately dropped to £24+vat. I get they’re in business to make money and normally don’t mind a bit of healthy haggling, but quoting 30% over the odds is an insult to my intelligence. So nice try I’ll only ever use your firm again if I have no choice as I don’t appreciate your attempts at ripping me off!

Bought sliding mirrored wardrobes here & as always the service is excellent. The staff are always friendly & helpful. Lynne who served us is a pleasure to deal with & Ian the driver deserves a mention too. Well done Nordstrom I have & will continue to recommend you to family & friends. Surprising reasonable prices post the covid pandemic too ☺️

So where to start here. Been going to see Alan Nordstrom since we started the company off as a limited firm in 2008.Alan’s Nordstrom has always been lovely and helpful and his staff are great to deal with. They respect the customer and always try and bend over backward for their orders.Deliveries are prompt and accurate and with zero damage.Their oak in particular looks amazing in my home especially the stair cases etc. Try it.The investment in the new buildings is truly remarkable and the finish of the offices and warehouses is exceptional. Even down to the toilets.The fact that Alan and his family are still so committed to the success of the business is truly remarkable, when most other folk would retire.As an independent timber merchant and supply yard they have their prices as keen as any and are always on hand to do little Discounts and savings.Alan always saw success in our firm, and that success and admiration is duly returned with their fabulous new setup next door.Some of the staff are ex joiners and that helps when they know what you are talking about. Mind you, there’s probably only 8 or 9 fingers between some of them due to a history of working with circular saws lol. Best stop on those tills lads.Always a pleasure and always a laugh.
