Had a chance to visit this place and get to know its people a few years ago. Wonderful warmhearted people, beautiful surroundings - overall a lovely place to visit! Something that I usually recall is lunches and dinners at the campus - full of inspiring stories, friendly arguments about politics and not only, and of course good laughs!

One of the very best choices I have ever done in my life- to come here and grow.CICD has been a school, a infinite source of learnings professionally and personally, a family and a home for a long period of time.

If you are looking for a place to learn, to develop skills for volunteering and also for life; a place where you will improve your English, where you will share living, cooking, cleaning, working in an organic garden and studing with people from everywhere and every age, this is your place! We all came from very different backgrounds, experiences and lifes but we all share a goal here. And that pass through becoming a better human.

My life changed as soon as I found out about this place. I did the volunteer programme twice and volunteered in Mozambique and Zambia. This is literally another kind of school and if you're looking to make at least some kind of change to the world also...even to yourself, this is the place to start.

I took part in this community school in 2019.I was part of several programs (Gaia, 12 month team, climate activist) and now I am in the 10 month team.It is a life experience to come here. You are trained as a Development Instructor in order to take part in a community from an African country or in India.I encourage all of you to lose (or to win!!) some time of your day checking the website or speaking with someone from here. It will be interesting for you to know about it or even to join!!Different programs are happening:)It is 'Another Kind of School ', under the approval of the English Government.

I arrived at CICD in July to be part of the 12-month Poverty Activist team.I am part of a team of 8 students, who have been training for development instructors for 5 months. During this period we train and develop skills that will help us in the next stage of this program. In a month we will all move on to a development project in Africa. I found in this college, which uses a different teaching method, the ideal place to participate in an international development project. I couldn't be more satisfied with the result.

Dear All.I have been working in HUMANA PEOPLE TO PEOPLE for 30 years In Angola, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique and received many enthusiastic and dedicated Development Instructors ( Volunteers ) doing practical work in Community Development projects, Health Projects and Education. It has for sure been a win win situation , good for the people in need and good for the volunteers , since doing good towards others is one of the most meaningful things here in life. Do not hesitate go for it ....many many more people are needed so unite with the people will be our way of changing the world.

The students are doing a great job in the projects in Africa! The training at CICD is preparing the students to be humble, hard working and at the same time they lear a lot about what is going on in the world! They are learning to work together, care for each other and be curious about England and the countries they travel to! Because it is a international campus where students and teachers come from different countries - everybody learn from each other about cultural changes and history.

I have many friends who have finished the programmes here and they are extremely positive about their experience, it is really a school of life. It can be tough and hard work, but you get the skills to become a more capable human being.

I have been working 17 years in India and during this time worked with more than 30 volunteers from CICD.IT HAS REALLY BEEN A WIN WIN.The volunteers bring so much energy and new inputs from multiple cultures all over the world. This is really a genius concept of bringing people together about creating change.Elmer Værge.
