Great food but poor service.I visited few years ago and was very excited to return, a bit disappointed with the poor service this time. Food was really good - we recommended the sharing plate - Monster rib! However, we have waited for almost an hour before food was served - we were told that kitchen was extremely busy (but the restaurant was only half empty when we ordered our food). Waiters are not very friendly in general. We have accidently knocked over the sauce for our sharing plate (Monster rib) and asked if we could have some more sauce, the waitress then gave us another one. However, when we pay the bill it charged us £2.5 for the sauce (which is totally fine to charge for extra sauce but they could have told us when we ask for another one). When we asked the waitress about the £2.5 extra cost, she simply reply I didn't know that extra sauce will cost money". Overall it is a nice restaurant for food - delicious food

Had heard so much about this place since arriving in Cambrige so decided to give it a go. Food is super tasty and good brunch drinks as well. The kids menu is small but our little one liked it and ate most of it.The mill is also working which makes it entertaining and fun for kids. Good for quick or long brunch.

Great little find by my boyfriend. We visited MillWorks as a pit stop to a National Trust near by and it was lovely! Great views overlooking the boat trips and the steak pie was amazing! Highly recommend! No parking though so make sure you follow the road round and they’ve got side streets about 10 mins over the bridge.

I had very good time there being myself and chilling. Before I went there, a friend of mine suggested that bar can be also good place where you just do whatever coursework you want to focus on, which was to my surprise, but was exactly what I have been looking for - in Cambridge evenings sometimes I do want quiet study time but also enjoy a beer. This is perfect for my purpose. The waitresses and waiters treated me well. They didn’t discriminate someone simple because one brings laptop and does not plan to have a main dish (but only snacks and drinks). I felt welcomed. No one interrupted me for 2-hour quiet time - in a populous bar - you would not believe it. One of the waiters joked with me and it was happy time. I promised him I’d have main dish next time - to use their student discount, and very importantly, I’d bring someone I like.

We had a lovely time here for our companies summer party, the food was deliscious and the staff was exceptionally good and tentative.

This place has a great location and well done interior design. The cocktails were great and so were the appetisers. Unfortunately all of the mains we tried, we were a group of three, were not good. The mussels were old tasting (if you eat a lot of mussels then you know the taste), chicken shawarma was bland, and pork rump was okay. The staff were awesome though and it was overall a good experience.I still think that this place is worth a visit but maybe order something different than we did.

4 Friendly service with nice grills.Tomahawk is beautiful, tender and flavorful, tasty without any sauces. Chips and onion rings are still soft.Crispy squid only have a few crispy spots, but there’s finally more squid than batter and it doesn’t seem oily, so pretty nice. Would prefer the mayo sauce to be on the side though— it’s quite overpowering.Homemade focaccia is more like normal white toast… and would definitely benefit from a toast to search warm and crispy before serving.Seasonal veggies look simple but is surprisingly seasoned with crispy mint. Quite oily though.—3Popped in for lunch with friend’s family. A new menu again, from Mediterranean to British this time. The steak mushroom ale pie is delicious. The filling is flavorful and the crust is crunchy and not too heavy. The whole sea bass is tender and fresh. The pork belly has crispy fatty parts and tender flavorful flesh. Fried chicken wings are also quite nice. The veggies, however, are mainly peas and beans… simply British.Food is still a little slow.-/-2nd visitCrispy filo shell, warmly spiced chicken filling. The garlicky spicy hummus adds a kick, while the hoisin sauce gives a fun twist, reminding me of Peking duck wraps. The venison steak was cooked perfectly, beautiful and tender. Seasoning-wise, I am not a fan of peppercorn sauce/red wine gravy in general… the tastier, more flavorful chermoula only comes as a few drizzles on the cabbage. Hope the steak can actually get it too! The potato rosti is buttery and herby. So I stack them with the steak. The dessert display right at the entrance looks very attractive, to the extent of evil enticement ;) and I’ve been eyeing the ice creams since last summer. Guess I’ll get a scoop soon.Food came quite fast, but I waited for about an hour for my bill. Next time I’ll bring a reading lamp. My eyes hurt in the romantic flickering of candle flame. I left the restaurant literally minutes before it’s closure.(It’s also fun to eavesdrop scholars from my field of research, though I didn’t dare to turn around lest there are familiar faces.)—Ice cream update: Been thinking about these since last summer and finally give in. Nice selection of flavors from the local ice cream company. The espresso bean is less intense than what the name suggests— more like coffee toffee candy. Had a taste of the ginger root one out of curiosity. Very gingerly indeed. Will probably get this one next time :D—1st visitMillworks punt was lovely, especially with those fried Halloumi sticks. The rocket leaves make me feel less guilty. The squash hummus is a little too salty and overpowering—more like a spiced dip than hummus or squash. My friend says the pulled pork was far too sweet… Maybe there’s too much ketchup.

Lovely restaurant, stunning views and interior. Service was very slow, although I think it was a busy day. The steak we had was the worst I'd ever had in my 33 years of existence. So unpleasantly chewy, impossible to swallow (and I know a thing or two about swallowing). So bad in fact, that we had to return it and basically left after settling the bill for our drinks.

Excellent service sitting adjacent to the undershot mill wheel! Music a little loud and naff. Food: nice starters, I ordered the RibEye steak at £34 requesting a rare steak, which was prob medium rare, but it was tough ++ so was replaced on request. The seabass was delicious. STP nice and Apricot Frangipani served cold and not great quality. £168 for two incl 6 glasses of various wines.
