Couldn’t have been happier with the band! They played for our wedding and kept everyone on their feet for the whole evening. Very skilful calling meant we had smiles all round from complete novice dancers to the more experienced crew. Fabulous evening. All communication with Fred in the run up was swift and efficient. Highly recommended!

Bowreed: The UK's Leading Ceilidh Band
Bowreed played at our wedding in August 2021 and they were beyond amazing. The ceilidh has been the number one thing all the guests have spoken to us about since our day. Fred, Jemma and the band are not only highly talented but also made every one feel at ease with joining in. There were a lot of newbies who ended up loving it!!! It truly was the highlight of our night and the perfect fun time that got every single person up and dancing!! We also got the DJ package and it was perfect to use our own playlist on their system for the later part of the night.

We had Bowreed playing our reception and they were absolutely fantastic! We had a huge amount of fun, and our guests have told us over and over how much they enjoyed the experience. The music was perfect and the calling managed to keep us all broadly in step, beginners and experienced ceilidh dancers alike. We can't recommend them highly enough and are just itching for an excuse to have another ceilidh now!

We had Bowreed for our wedding and they were absolutely brilliant! They kept the part going all night and all of our guests enjoyed and fully took part in the ceildh. Georgia was amazing at controlling the chaos of our novice but enthusiastic guests and also produced some bangers during the evening DJ set.

Georgia and the Bowreed band played at our wedding in Somerset and WOW were they amazing. They had ALL our guests up on the dance floor we almost ran out of space, and Georgia’s energy was contagious. She knew exactly which routines to do when, and was brilliant at giving us instructions and guiding us through the dances. The band played anmazingly and our venue was filled with dancing and laughter - we will remember it for the rest of our lives!We were really pleased that we also booked Georgia’s DJ set for after the ceilidh as she kept the party going until midnight. We sent her a playlist beforehand and she used this to decide which songs would get our guests dancing until the early hours. All our guests were singing at the top of their lungs and dancing their hearts out. It was really amazing.If you’re thinking of booking Bowreed, think no more - do it!

Great music and fun from start to finishI booked Bowreed to play at my husband’s surprise 80th birthday party in the Village Hall. From the moment the booking was made, they kept in touch to help me to plan the music and dance for the evening. Many of our guests had never experienced a Scottish ceilidh before but any apprehension about joining in was soon dispelled by the amazing Liz, our caller for the night. Michael, the fiddle player, and the rest of the band were fantastic. My husband, who is Scottish, was delighted to hear the old tunes played so well in deepest rural Kent. Our guests said they just had the best night. I’m sure we’ll all be talking about it for some time to come. Thank you.

I honestly cannot recommend Bowreed Ceilidh highly enough. The music was fantastic, the caller did a great job pitching the dances and getting everyone involved, and they were generally just a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Flexible, organised, collaborative and talented musicians - they really set the tone for our wedding party!

We had Bowreed for our wedding at Aldwick Estate, BS40, recently. Fred and his team were all absolutely lovely and very talented. They were flexible on the day (it was VERY hot) and were able to adapt their set to suit the needs of our guests. Communication was great and all our guests commented on how fun the ceilidh was. We would recommend Bowreed in a heartbeat!

Bowreed are just wonderful. I attended a wedding back in 2021 where they performed and have had them front of mind for an event of my own ever since. So when I had the chance to book them for my event last week I was thrilled. They were a dream to work with all the way through and of course our guests absolutely loved them. Would definitely book them again. If you are on the fence about doing a ceilidh... book Bowreed, you won't be disappointed.

We had Bowreed at our wedding just over a month ago and can't rate them highly enough. From the initial discussion to the actual day everything went smoothly and the dances were very well tailored to our wedding where we had many guests with little/no ceilidh experience so everyone was able to join in!
