Great place to order glasses. I've been looking for new frames for quite some time. I have a rather complex face and choosing glasses is always very difficult. J.Hyde made choosing frame not only easy, but also very pleasant. Excellent service, very professional and eager to help staff. I would also like to note the professional, modern equipment. I haven't been this happy with my glasses in a long time. The next pair will definitely be from J.Hyde. I can't wait to visit this place again.

Visited many opticians and left feeling confused and undecided if I liked anything they had to offer - J Hyde I was met with friendly faces, they easily help me choose and affordable pair of glasses, I left feeling happy. I booked an appointment for an eye test, where the great experience and service continued. I’ve never had such a thorough eye examination. It wasn’t the usual feeling like being moved like cattle from one test to the other either. I now have my new glasses, been wearing them for two weeks and I’m so happy with them. I’ll be back to buy a second pair soon!

The shop itself is modern and comfortable. On each of several visits I have been made to feel very welcome. Beverages and introductions have always been offered which has made for a relaxed but professional atmosphere.The choice of glasses frames cover a wide range of beautiful styles with tint options available. I have always been able to take as long as I need to try on frames and discuss different tints.Having chosen and received a pair of glasses - after a thorough eye examination - I was happy with my purchase. The fit and style were exactly what I had been looking for.However I did change my mind about the depth of tint - this was rectified with much goodwill and I’m very happy with the final result.The service I have received has been exceptional. I will have no hesitation in using J Hyde in the future.

I have always been extremely picky about my glasses and particularly my frames, it normally takes me weeks of trying on frames and indecision, this was until I stumbled across J D Hyde in Birmingham city centre, I was after something unusual but classy, I can’t say enough about the friendly and knowledgable staff, and the choice of frames was exactly what I was after, slightly out there but classy and their own design so you wouldn’t see ever other person in the high street in them. For the first time in my life with the help of the J D Hyde staff I decided on some great frames and some mega thin lenses. It took about 10 day for my new glasses to come and to say I am delighted is an understatement, they truly are the best pair of glasses I have ever had in over 55 years of wearing them. Great service, great glasses. From the moment I walked in, I was helped and guided without feeling sold to or like I was being followed around. I found an amazing pair of glasses, unique and stylish—just that little bit more edge than I can find in typical high street shops, which I love. Highly recommend.

I cannot thank the staff enough for helping me choose my glasses for my wedding day. I went in asking for help as I had felt that main branch opticians just did not have a clue from the service that I had received when asking so I decided to try a independent store.I spoke to the manager and he asked me lots of question's and asked if he could see some photos, he then picked out a variety of glasses that would suit me. I absolutely loved the colours but I wasn't so sure on the shape as they were always a style that I had avoided. The staff made me feel at ease and assured me that the shape suited me well. But i wasn't so sure, so i went back a few more times with my husband to be and then put my trust in them.I am so glad that I did as they are beautiful, I love the colour and do get comments from people when out and about. Thank you again and I will be back.

Genuinely the best customer service you will find, everyone is extremely welcoming and very professional. Never liked going to the opticians as the big high street franchises treat you like cattle and then try to sell you the most expensive option from a very limited and dull range. Here you are treated to the highest level of personnel service in a very relaxed and warm way. Brilliant experience.

This is not your usual opticians. The staff are welcoming and take the time to consider your needs as an individual. The whole experience from the thorough eye test to the assistance with choosing from such a bespoke and contemporary range of frames made for a totally unique and enjoyable experience.
