Apartment 20 Burgh Island Causeway

Our hosts, Vanessa and Peter, made our holiday experience very pleasant from the outset through the efficiency of booking arrangements to the comprehensive information, provided in advance of our stay, about the Apartment, the area and things to do etc. The wine and cake awaiting our arrival was a nice touch and we found the Apartment very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Access to the Leisure Centre was a bonus! We would definitely have the confidence to book again.

We have been holidaying in Bigbury on Sea for many years and have stayed in this lovely apartment on several occasions. Very comfortable modern apartment which is right on the beach. Beautiful decor and stunning sea views. We will no doubt return again in the future.

We stayed at 20 Burgh island for a week at Easter and enjoyed a perfect week away.The apartment was spotless with everything you could possibly need and is decorated so beautifully with a contemporary modern seaside theme. The beds were very comfortable and the views & sunsets were amazing resulting in a well needed & relaxed family break . The hosts provided a lovely welcome of wine ,cake, milk etc and continued to check on us during our break to ensure we had a lovely time and any problems were resolved personally. Thank you Vanessa & Peter - we will definitely be returning to your beautiful holiday home .

Fantastic is the word that I would use for our stay at Apartment 20 Burgh Island Causeway! Together with my wife and 2 daughters we had a week mid-August there.The apartment is 5*. Upon entering you're greeted with the beautiful aroma from Temple Spa diffusers and a spotlessly clean apartment to enjoy a week's well-earned break with the family. The fittings and furnishings are to a very high level and the kitchen has everything you could wish for plus some. The view of the beach and Burgh Island is amazing, especially at night when the hotel is lit-up and the tide is in... relaxing with a glass of red in hand listening to the waves below us.My wife, two daughters and I know the area well having stayed at a property in Challaborough in previous years. It's an amazing beach with more than enough to keep you there for a week without having to resort to using the car. We didn't anyway.We booked a Sainsburys delivery for the first night in advance of our stay. We had breakfast in the apartment each day and ate picnics on the beach for lunch when I would nip back to the apartment, returning a short time later with sandwiches and treats. Dinner was enjoyed each night in the Burgh Island Causeway restaurant. Absolutely fantastic food and service from the restaurant and very reasonably priced.A swimming pool is available for residents to use as part of the complex leisure facilities. This was fantastic for those days when the weather forecast advised of showers in the morning or afternoon. We would spend an hour in the pool during that time and then enjoy the beach when the sun was back out.If you're reading this, you've probably guessed that we had an amazing time and would fully recommend staying here. We have already booked for next Summer! The communication from the owners has been brilliant, from our initial booking to check-in and beyond and we're already counting down the days to our next stay!

We stayed at 20 Burgh Island Causeway for the 2nd week of the Easter half term 2023. This apartment definitely has the Wow factor as soon as you enter, light and airy with stunning views overlooking Burgh Island with its famous hotel and beach.Perfectly located for watching the amazing sunsets from the balcony or window seat, the apartment has been tastefully furnished and fitted with everything you could possibly need, including a selection of board games which came in very useful on a couple of wet and windy days!The indoor pool was a big hit for our grandson and likewise the gym for our son who could watch the pool whilst exercising.Vanessa and Peter have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable with no expense spared, quality beds, bed linens, furnishings and fluffy white towels and complimentary Templespa toiletries in the bathrooms.We look forward to returning in the not too distant future, and happily recommend it to anyone thinking about a luxury self catering Devon getaway.

Apartment 20 is a very comfortable home from home. Anyone who rents number 20 is very lucky. The apartment is beautiful situated right above a beach, the views are amazing out to sea and over to Burgh Island, there is never ending entertainment to be had by just looking out of the window or sitting on the balcony.The furniture and furnishings and very good quality in like new condition , the bedding and towels are like wise . The owners have done a truly excellent job and have thought of just about everything. We had a brilliant holiday and are going to rebook for next year. It is a real treat to find such an amazing apartment. If only other apartment owners could reach this high standard holidaying would become much easier and stress free. Well done Vanessa and Peter and thank you for all the extra little goodies you find when you arrive.

Apartment number 20 is immaculate throughout. High class furniture & fittings. Everything you need for a comfort & relaxing holiday. Superb views of the beach & Burgh Island. We,ve already booked for later in the year & will do so for next year. Gill & Gary.

Absolutely loved the apartment. The view to Burgh Island was stunning and changed with every tide. The walk to the River Avon estuary, along the beach, was amazing. Had use of pool for 1/2 hour to ourselves, it was lovely and relaxing. Food in Leisure Club was first rate. Will be back next year.

We had a fabulous stay at this Burgh Island apartment. Very high spec and good attention to detail. Would thoroughly recommend. And Vanessa handles everything beautifully ensuring a perfect stay.
